Apparently with glasses. These Brazilian cops are looking to equip their forces with these new eyeglasses equipped with stealthy crime-fighting properties. They're even callin' 'em "RoboCop" glasses after the 1987 action film. The glasses are fitted with a tiny camera that scans up to 400 faces per second. It cross-checks those images against a database of criminals and terrorists, and flashes a small red light inside the glasses if a match comes up. Then the officer knows whom to home in on and whom to leave alone. Supposedly, on its optimal settings, the camera can scan 400 faces a second at a distance of up to 50 yards away. But the settings can be changed to recognize faces at a slower pace, at up to 12 miles away. 12 miles sounds a lil' bit far-fetched, but still, it's a camera in a pair of glasses. I'm thinkin' that's kinda cool, kinda scary. I ain't never been one to trust cops. Somethin' 'bout 'em just get me all on high alert. Might have somethin' to do with a repressed childhood memory I had involvin' 'em, I dunno, but if this is somethin' that were to be standard issue for not only cops in Brazil, but worldwide, how would you feel? Safer? More threatened? What are some of the pros and cons of this? What is the likelihood of this actually catching on in a couple of decades or so? Full article here. And if you can read/translate Portuguese.

Awesomeness !!
Im guessing the next step is contact lenses; since they are already making technology that allows contacts to connect with the internet and use facial recognition software to ID peoples faces with their facebook as well as watch tele and even give information on your health.

I was thinking of a great way to ID criminals. Just take a sample of blood from every person on the planet and catalogue it. Presto! Any forensics can ID nearly every crime in a matter of hours of the investigation.

Those could still be useful though since DNA does not come with a picture attached. The article just reminded me of a thought that I once had about forensics.
