I'll move this to 2.0 when I get the opportunity.
Batman, Inc #6:
This issue was just plain awesome. Talia and Leviathan hit Batman, Inc with a devastating attack in issue #4 and this issue follows up on it. The fight between Bats and the Heretic is absolutely brutal. This issue is nearly flawless and ton of action throughout
Justice League Dark #15:
Lemire is joined by Ray Fawkes on this issue and it delivers. The team lineup has been a bit refined and it makes for a great book. It also brings the magic back in a literal way with more magic usage than we've seen in quite some time.
New Avengers #1:
This was a good first issue. It focused almost entirely on the Black Panther and is very interesting. Hickman is introducing some of his best concepts in this book like he used in Fantastic Four. T'Challa is a much more interesting character for me than the rest of the Illuminati so we shall see how it goes.
Batman The Dark Knight #15:
This issue wraps up the Scarecrow arc. It's a solid installment but it feels a bit rushed. With the length of the arc I feel like this finale could have been spread out over another issue to build more drama.
All-New X-Men #5:
This issue wrapped up the first arc and felt like it was more of a transition to the next one. It wasn't necessarily a bad issue but felt kind of flat compared to the first four. There were some interesting developments so it wasn't a total loss.
Teen Titans #15:
This issue ties in with Death of the Family. The Titans are in Gotham attempting to locate Red Robin who has been kidnapped by the Joker. Predictably they fall into the traps he's prepared for them but they get an assist from Arsenal & Starfire. This continues in Red Hood & The Outlaws' next issue so it can't really be judged on its own merits. The art by Brett Booth is outstanding so that's a definite plus.
The Flash #15:
This continues the arc with Gorilla Grodd and to be blunt it isn't very good. The art chores are split between Marcus To and Francis Manapul which throws the entire issue out of kilter. The layouts are also quite annoying and difficult to follow. The previous issue was pretty outstanding but this one felt flat.
