It's moreso "dislike" than "hate" but I'm really not a fan of Alex Ross. It's a common complaint, but I really do find his art, however technically capable it is and beautiful in commissioned pieces, to be really boring for a comic. His characters look so motionless and static and it's one of the reasons why I haven't read Kingdom Come yet because his art puts me off. You should put that aside. It is amazingly written as well. |

I cannot say I agree with Sparda here. I love Ross' art. The only complaint I have is that I have never seen him draw an attractive character. Wonder Woman and Power Girl look like they are female body builders to me. |

The first time I saw Ross' art I remember wondering "Are those real people?" lol I didn't like it at first but now I do although I do agree with what Erik said. The same goes with the artist that drew Superman : Birthright (I always forget his name for some reason). I didn't like his art at first but now he has improved IMO.

I'm meh about Ross' art. I think it's stunningly gorgeous but much better suited to covers.

I hate any artist whose work isn't aesthetically pleasing to me..because he doesn't know the basic fundamentals of art.Anyone who sucks at anatomy,variety,facial expressions.I can't stand those artists.It pisses me off because I've actually going to school to learn this stuff and they didn't make the effort and are getting jobs.Leifeld is the perfect example of this.I don't like everyone's work but it's because some people have styles that I can't get into like Simone Bianchi but at the very least I respect Bianchi because I can tell he knows what he's doing.He knows anatomy,he knows how to vary his characters so they look different from one another etc. I just don't like his style (sometimes).

Oh.... How that guy became a comic book artist is beyond me. It is not just that his art is funky as hell, it is that it is just...... flat. The art has no life. Even the fight scenes look boring.

I don't like Jim Starlin's art. I am reading Death of the New Gods now and the art is bad IMO.

Yeah, I saw it but I can't understand a lot from it. He did the Wolverine: Origins series. Just google any of those issues. The Captain America/Wolverine fight is used a lot in debates. That was by SD. |

See, you could tell me that that is a picture of Wolverine, Dr. Light, Bullseye, Punisher, or Blade and I would still believe you. There are no discernible differences among his characters. It's like looking at any woman drawn by Greg Land. |
