So with Krul writing, the Teen Titans are finally worth reading again (mostly).
If only Beast Boy didn't have just one fang constantly hanging out of his mouth.
Aaaand if only they'd get rid of Ravager.

Beast Boy and Raven were the only reason I got into Teen Titans. Well Teen Titans the animated series was one of the reason I came into the comic industry. I love John work on them. You don't have to kill characters every other issue to get readers, that's one way to lose readers. Not long after Johns left, I couldn't bare the crap any more and stopped reading. However I like Krul's Blackest Night: Titans and I think he can do a good job.
I just would like to see Tim back but the way things are going that looks doubtful.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I've seen it. Since Johns left, there have been tons of deaths and people acting like jerks for no reason. I got sick of it and stopped reading.
But Blackest Night: Teen Titans was mostly good (as was the Teen Titans tie in with Deathstroke) so I picked up Krul's first issue. It felt similar in that there were minor characterization issues but for the most part, it is a huge cut above any Titans stuff we've seen in...what? 4, 5 years? Still cause to buy the book.
I hope Tim comes back too. I haven't really been reading Red Robin but with all the dead seriousness it seems to be having, I think it'd be good for the kid to see hang out with his friends again. Plus, it gives them an excuse to either cut Ravager or give her some serious chewing out. It is not okay for a Teen Titans book to show "heroes" casually maiming people.

I guess. I never was too bothered about her. I found Wonder Girl to be annoying more than her. I liked her during Johns run so that may have been the crappy writers. Saying that, I only liked Ravanger while she was teasing Cass' by constantly trying things with Tim. I was laughing aloud when he came in from a night out and she was in the bed waiting for him, then Kid Devil came in and Tim was like "It's not what it looks like." and she's like "Yes it is." I found that funny. And I should point out the second Kid Devil went there I wanted him gone. Mostly 'cause they tried to make him take BB's place. I also hope they don't continue with the Origin's and Omen possibilities.

Kid Devil and Kid Flash have been trying to take Beast Boy's place for years.
David was able to give them distinct personalities. Johns, McKeever and Henderson? Not so much. At least Johns gave Beast Boy some character development...which has since been forgotten.

I don't mind Kid Flash, I thought he and BB got on. I just couldn't bare watching Kid Devil.

Kid Flash is okay. He's just thirty times as fun in Young Justice.

I liked it when he first became Kid Flash just after getting shot in the knee from Deathstroke. Robin had a shotgun to his head and the gun fire and KF took it apart because he read everything in a library.

Is J. T. Krull a good writer? I've read nothing he wrote. I heard Rise of Arsenal was terrible, but I think Dane said his Green Arrow isn't that bad, and now I see you guys saying the same thing about titans.

His work during Blackest Night was strong (especially with Hawk and Dove but also with Terra) but he clearly did not do the research on Beast Boy. Rise and Fall were terrible but from what I heard, they were VERY editorially mandated because somebody wanted to make Roy a villain and wanted to unmarry Ollie and Dinah. Some statements made by Krul suggest he wasn't too happy about Rise but I could have been reading too much into it. Overall, he hasn't written enough for me to really make a judgement call because I've been too sick of all the drama surrounding GA to read that book.

I love Beast Boy and Raven, but come on. Dick moved on, Donna moved on, Roy, Garth, Vic, Kory and Wally moved on.
I think its time for them to find their place somewhere else. I am mad that we lost Aquagirl, Blue Beetle and Miss Martian for characters that aren't even teens

The only place for them to go would be Titans. I haven't even read anything for a while. No Idea how things are going there. I don't mind them at TT. Gonna be interesting to see Damien there.
What would you say about a Young Trinity? I mentioned it before. Tim, Conner, and either Cass' or Bart.

But why keep them in Titans? BTW the current creative team, direction, etc. of that book sucks. Why can't they move on to other teams? Why can't they become supporting characters in other series or even a miniseries featuring the two of them? Just like you and me many people remember them with affection of the teen titans series. Raven I could tolerate because she technically is a teen now, even if she is an adult in mind, but seeing Beast boy there makes me imagine him saying "Help me, I'm reaching 25 and I don't know what to do" Tim, Connor and Bart were the young trinity when Young Justice was launched (why the "#$ haven't they collected it yet?) however I don't think Cass could be considered any less than their equal and probably even bigger considering she is the leader of the Teen Titans and was the leader of Young Justice, both times taking the place over Tim. For me that generation doesn't have a trinity, it has its fantastic four

I think sentiments plays a part in my mind for BB and Raven. It's thanks to BB I got into readin' Teen Titans through the TV Series. I would allow them to leave.
The only Young Justice I read was the tie ins for Our Worlds at War. Who would you prefer to have as leader? Tim or Cass'? And what about the relationships between Tim and Cass and Cass and Conner? Who do you want together?
I could see a young four. I would LOVE to see a Teen Lantern. I've been saying this for a while. It'll be awesome.

I prefer Cass as leader, only because I'm sick of no leader representation of the Wonder family ever in the big teams. Also, she's earned it.
I think Cass should be alone for awhile, she makes the better couple with Superboy though. A teen lantern would be cool, there was one in Batman Beyond. Problem is, to get one for Earth we would need to kill one of the four Earth lanterns and I like them all very much (ok not hal, but I like the stories around him)

If there's a Teen Lantern, he/she shouldn't be from Earth or that sector in general.

Beast Boy should totally be the leader of the Teen Titans (as he was before Infinite Crisis and during 52) or at least in a OYL Cyborg fasion, where he's obviously there as an advisor/muscle but lets the kids make the big decisions.
Part of that advising should be "We don't allow ourselves to maim supervillains. We can do better than that."
Raven can stick around as long as Beast Boy is there and as long as there is no "Oh, I'm in a teenager's body so I'm going to start acting less mature than I did thirty years of character development ago."
I'd just as soon see Beast Boy and Raven in their own book or form their own team because, as Nighthunter said, they're like 25.

What's a good pick up point for a new reader? I've read some of the older stuff, but it's mostly scattered and based on appearances by characters I enjoy.
