Okay, so yeah this isn't going to be a fun little rant so if you expect the laughs get the fuck out now.
Lettering is a big fucking deal when it comes to comics. You need good lettering so that readers know what characters are saying, what narration is going on. What you don't need is fucking cursive hand written bullshit for every fucking panel! Or fucking red lettering on black backgrounds. I mean, this shit is just awful to look at let alone read! This is even worse if it's a fucking sprite comic because then the art is already for shit, so the text is really the only way to convey the story. So you make someone talk only in Jokeman font with red on black text bubbles. Are you fucking shitting me!? I can't read that shit and thus I have no idea what's going on. Congrats you made a story that is literally fucking unreadable. Oh, but it gets worse. I know that sounds impossible but it gets worse. I saw one fucker who hand wrote all the text in cursive. You know how right now everything I'm typing isn't in cursive? THERE'S A FUCKING REASON FOR THAT. Because cursive is fucking awful to read, doubly so when hand written by some dumbass who can barely make a coherent story. I just have the best fucking luck reviewing webcomics, you know so I get to deal with bullshit like this. This is the real reason no one reviews webcomics, not because of the fetish bullshit, not because they feel people can do what they want, not even because of the fucked up Nazi shit. No it's shitty comics with god awful fucking lettering. Lettering that makes you want to stab your eyes out just to make the fucking red on black go away.
In conclusion: Lettering is kind of a big fucking deal.
