1. I do. Written properly, the situation would have been defused immediately. Iron Man ceased a symbiote invasion nearly single-handedly during Mighty Avengers. He doesn't need to power up like a DBZ character, as shown in # 3, nor he should have any trouble with Doppelganger's webbing. He's there because Wells thought, and I quote "his new armor resembles a symbiote". Come on. He outclasses any symbiote in power by leagues, so jobbing is inevitable.
2. It just makes no sense to me. Why would the symbiote try to keep Cletus alive? It could not have possibly known some Carnage aficionado would try to save him from orbit. Love for its host is one thing, but self-preservation is a primary objective for the symbiote.
Also, this is a missed opportunity. With a new host, Carnage could actually acquire some depth as a character. Much as I liked Cletus back in the 90s, what was his motivation? Where was the pathos? He was the symbiote version of the Joker. Kill kill kill kill, bath in blood, kill kill kill kill kill, and repeat, only Joker actually has a few arcs where we get to see the man behind the monster. Cletus never had any. He was a lun before he got the symbiote and he was the same thing afterwards.
3. Point here. 1- I haven't read #3 yet, but that does sound stupid. And I did not know his reasoning, so yeah. You win this round. 2- Cletus could be developed more once resurrected. With the way Wells described the book in interviews, you'd have thought that the female would last until the end... so things might turn here.... 3- Um. That means you agree?

I think it's rather obvious Cletus will be the host once again. After all, even with a new host, the symbiote was just smashing its way back to Cletus.
Oh, and him being alive? No. I understand the symbiote can help heal, but after being ripped in half by Sentry and floating in space for a year? No way.
But on the plus side, the art is lovely ;D

I liked it. Though of course, the best Carnage book ever written will always be "Mind Bomb". Always. Seriously. Read it.
Yup, they were.

Which is that? I like his origin story the most (and the material leading up to it) and it happens to be the only one that actually writes him at his proper power levels, IMHO.

Carnage: Mind Bomb writes him above and beyond what he was ever written as before. It's .... well, it's fucking crazy.

The art is orgasmic. Cain's rendition of the new IM armor is how it should be: cool and slick.
@ InnerVenom - Is it a mini, or a one-shot? I haven't heard of the story before.

Here's a scan. It's a very fucked up story, as you can see. It's basically his "Killing Joke".

You had me at Warren Ellis. Not when it comes to Astonishing X-Men I never read his AXM, so I wouldn't know. But everything else, T-bolts in particular has been golden.

Anyway, back on the symbiote track. Does anyone care that Flash has just 20 missions? Too short, too long?

Do you really think it will last 20 missions? It looks like somehow that fail-safe "fry his brain" plan will be foiled and Flash will grow addicted to the power, keeping the suit and going rogue as a hero. Just MO.
