Cosmo is made of win and I hope he's a part of the team of bad!@#$s he essentially puts together. They show up and end a war in about a minute, thats just awsome.

What did people think of the story now that it's over?
My Thoughts: Drop the Silver Surfer off the team. The entire time I was reading I kept getting the feeling he could have handled most of this stuff on his own and Gladiator and Bill felt like a side characters(Glad and particular doing nothing really important outside clearing some people off the Silver Surfer). Not that the Silver Surfer didn't get some great feats throughout the book, it's rare to see him actively using cosmic awareness to save the day and move planets around, stabilize gravity for a solar system, help merge a other worldly sun with a normal sun, etc, but with him on the roster, along with a bunch of other power houses, even when he does do cool things, it takes away from him and the team. It's tough to see anything really challenge these guys in such a powerful team. That or start dropping other members to slim the team down. Maybe back to old school days of Quasar, Bill and Norrin (Adding the Spaceknight that wants to !@#$ Quasar for that female angle) with the team's power set they can stand to lose a few guys and make future adventures a little more challenging for them realistically. Outside that it was cool.

I thought more attention would have been brought to the upcoming mini where the Annihilators will come to Earth and team-up (fight?) the Avengers.

I wouldn't know exactly what the Avengers could really provide in a team up, much-less have a chance in hell of actually fighting the Annihilators off in a fight. Quasar can handle most of the current Avengers roster on his own. Maybe uber threat that requires Steve Rogers( hopefully replacing Bucky after Fear Itself) to toss his shield around to save the day for the team up, but I'd doubt they would have a fight?

I don't think it would be much of a fight, either, just saying I'm surprised I haven't heard more buzz about it just yet. But even if they do fight, I doubt it will be something more than a few pages before the inevitable team-up.
Then again, not sure what the point of going to Earth will be, to begin with. It's not like the Annihilators aren't well known to Earth's heroes and vice versa, as it stands already.

You could always blame Fear Itself for the lack of buzz. =P They might be comming to Earth for two reasons: - Finally become card carrying Avengers or to just get the cards and claim they are Annihilators cards or something. - Super duper threat, cosmic or mystical in nature(maybe that living black hole that the Annihilators went off to fight at the end of the book) heads to Earth, Annihilators head it off and come to save Earth. Or it could be something as random as Quasar falling madly in love with the spaceknight chick and goes to get married on Earth, having the Avengers and the Annihilators fight over the flowers tossed in the air by the bride.

Ha, I enjoyed the whole story. It felt cool seeing the powerhouses in action, but with it only being four issues, hardly any action went around. Glads and Bill definitely got slept on for the majority of things. I'm glad they gave Ronan his time to shine, but still, for a group that big, really for a team in general, the only way to adequately depict all the characters well enough is for there to be more issues with those characters in it. The mini was a good starting point and that's about it. It felt like the first story arc to an ongoing. Nothing big or drastic like Thanos Imperative or Annihilation. Maybe them coming to visit earth'll do something.
Now, Annihilators are cool an' all, but I hope I wasn't the only one who read and enjoyed Rocky an' Groot's thing. That stuff was gold.

The upcoming Earthfall story was confirmed to be Annihilators vs Avengers.
Not sure how they will realistically make that work without the Annihilators being downplayed a good deal. Maybe we'll get even more "oh, no, we got to hold back so we'll get pwned, despite having mastered our powers and holding back 95% of the time for the entirety of our careers" monologues.

Completely ridiculous. Maybe we will get lucky and they will be nearly depowered or something by blank blank.

Or maybe, the Avengers'll be like, "oh snaps, we need some major firepower!" and pull out the infinity gems.

Unless the solicitation guys slipped, Silver Surfer won't be included in the Earthfall storyline.

Unless the solicitation guys slipped, Silver Surfer won't be included in the Earthfall storyline. That is actually a good thing for the team IMO. Although it makes me wonder why exactly he had to go.

Agreed. Not that I don't believe the Annihilators should still win, but not having their top gun kinda balances things.
I'm sure they could tie it in with the Surfer's mini, or his encounter with Thor in Asgard in terms of a continuity excuse. Or even his team-up with Doc Strange in Namor in the "Deep" FI mini.

It makes for any fight they might have with the Avengers a lot more believable, but also a chance to actually let these characters shine a bit better with a smaller team, which was one of my thoughts I said earlier, either dropping SS or slimming the team down by a few players. Well an easy excuse is Galactus wants him to get back to work, he is still a herald after all even with Stardust hard at work. It just got me thinking "Wonder if there is something in particular that is going to prevent the Silver Surfer from joining his team", so I'm somewhat interested in seeing exactly why he is MIA.

I'm interested to see what the heck is up with Stardust. Writers simply forgot she exists.

I'm interested to see what the heck is up with Stardust. Writers simply forgot she exists. With the Surfer running around on vacation, perhaps during TTI, CW and the like Stardust been on vacation. If Norrin is allowed to run around to save the Defenders or join up with the Annihilators, stardust must have had some time saved up on his punch card for all dem planets he has been finding for Galactus. Although a more honest answer is probably along the lines: No one cares about poor Stardust and any excused absence could be chalked up to him being sent to find meals during these events.
