Much like Dane's Surprise Showdown, in the Peak Human Proving Grounds you will be creating a team of up to 8 characters to take on a difficult challenge that you will find out about after you have crafted your team.
There are some rules for your eight people: -Any Fiction is game so long as you can provide references for your character so that I may learn about them. -No one may have over peak human physical stats so no speedsters, brutes, or regenerators or what have you. -No one may have any technology surpassing that of the Iron Spider Suit, so no Iron Man. -Your characters may have powers but none that transform them into something or give them anything over peak human stats. -Telekinesis, Power Absorbtion/Mimicry/Stealing, Energy Manipulation above Cyclops, Matter Manipulation, Temporal Manipulation, and reality warping, are completely out. -Keep in mind, I still hold Veto power over any character I think too powerful. Afterall, Chuck Norris is only peak human but could complete the scenario with but a wink of his eye.
You will be joined in the scenario by 2 badasses should you get past the first stage. If you happen to choose either of the two characters, I'll let you re-pick those after we start.
While you won't get anything for it, I will ascribe special trophies for choosing more obscure characters, attempting the scenario with less than 8, using characters in an unorthodox fashion, most awesome team, or just being extra ballsy. I also love loopholes and will be inclined to let it slide if it is clever enough. Remember, this is all in good fun so have fun with it but be warned this scenario is going to be tough given the restrictions in place.
Good luck and happy researching!

define peak human, please. It varies from comic to comic.

I suppose that would be a good place to start. Peak human is nothing above Batman or DD. Steve Rogers would be the absolute max I would consider allowing.

I need more info on Michael, Ian, Grendel, and what the Amorachius does but everyone else is good to go. Some good choices there, I especially like the choice of John Preston from Equilibrium because that means Christian Bale is on your team twice.

What does the Amorachius do? The Wiki page is sort of sketchy.
Having read his wiki page, I am going to have to DQ Ian as he has superhuman speed and strength.
I know nothing about Grendel what is he, can you summarize him?

Nice choices, I don't have any issues with any of them though how much enhanced strength does the Web's suit give him?

What does the Amorachius do? The Wiki page is sort of sketchy. It's a holy sword, it protects the wielder from harm (helps the wielders parrying ability, armors him up, etc), is incredibly sharp so it can cut steel. It's a bane to creatures of darkness and it can project holy light, etc. Having read his wiki page, I am going to have to DQ Ian as he has superhuman speed and strength. He is not stronger then Captain america if this is the info you have on the wiki, then it is incorrect. He is fast enough to dodge bullets, deflect them with his sword and he has caught bullets barehanded. Still don't see how this is bad. I know nothing about Grendel what is he, can you summarize him? Picture Deathstroke as a hero, without the enhancements, better training and more ruthless. He Dick Greyson/DD level agility with Deathstroke level intelligence and Batman level skill.

How much armor are we talking about for the Amorachius?
The info on the wiki suggests he could do more than that. Given that information, he could be allowed. I am sorry for relying on possibly inaccurate wiki data. Though I don't want him siphoning power from the Witchblade or the Darkness as they put are scary powerful.
Grendel sounds great, I should probably read him. He sounds interesting.
I was hoping for more people. I'll wait till monday evening to post the scenario. Thanks for your interest guys.

How much armor are we talking about for the Amorachius? Nothing vague as it's not exactly armor, it's basically divine providence. Stray shots miss, if he tries to parry he's better at it etc. A straight perfectly lined shot in the back will hit, if the enemy truly is really faster and stronger, he can outfight him etc. I will add that Micheal wears body armor a metal breastplate lined on the inside with kevlar, specifically because he is not immune to bullets (thought the sword does help here).

I was worried that it would give him like Iron Man level armor. So it works like Domino's abilities but only to an extent. That sounds okay, and you'll need it to survive the scenario.

Grendel sounds great, I should probably read him. He sounds interesting. It's one of the great series published by Dark Horse, easy to find too.
