I really liked him in his debut, but his whole emo thing got really annoying. I just wanted him to permanently be killed off.

Thankfully. The Boodika incident was lame.
Even though, how is Doomsday plausibly going to escape from the Eradicator, and Cyborg Superman with a win, is beyond me.

Hank, too.Hank never had anything going for him against Doomsday, apart from his immortality, which is not exactly going to help him not get pummeled into fine dust. I can't speak for eradicator, but from what I gather, he's basically a weaker Superman with limited matter/energy manipulation. Not that impressive against Doomy.

Which shouldn't be the case considering he is a physical match for Superman, and other characters of the same league. Even though it would also depend on the version of Doomsday, and if Doomsday has his PIS shield on, or not.
The Eradicator is more powerful than Superman. Which is why he's beaten him to a pulp a few times already. I'd call him the Surfer of Supermen.

PIS shield? Dude, Everyone Doomsday ever faced (Darkseid not included) had a PIS shield. He's supposed to go around and tear shit up for everyone, be stopped through great sacrifice, only to come back years later bigger and badder than before. That's his only purpose in life. He's like the Wermacht of superheroes. You can't claim PIS for something the character is meant to do.

LOL. Your sole purpose today is one-upping me isn't it?
I thought we were discussing his chances of beating these guys under regular circumstances, but, well, if you put it that way. ;D

Because, really, classic Doomsday stomping the JLA to the ground only to be stopped by Superman does not make sense.

Oh, but stomping hundreds of green Lanterns only to be partially stopped by a Guardian does? I mean, it's true that he rarely lives up to his name, but I consider that fault of the writers, Doomsday is meant to be an engine of destruction you just don't beat through just brute force. Take that away from him, and he's basically worthless as a character. Today?

Unless he actually fought a GL that was worth a damn.Well, today more so than usual.
Don't blame me. Doomsday, as character, outlived his usefulness from his first story.

It's ironic how similar the purposes, that both Doomsday, and Bane served at their introduction (at about the same time frame, as well), yet how differently each character developed through the years - with Bane outgrowing the act that made him famous, all the while Doomsday is still being used in the same manner, albeit less succesfully.
Even though Doomsday was extremely difficult to write in engaging way, since his conception.

Looking forward to hank making doomsday his bitch. but it probably wont happen.what will happen is that hank will forget his powers and get defeated in one punch. doomasday=PIS/CIS/WIS all mixed in to one.

I don't believe he will lose with one punch, but yes, I agree about Doomsday. Aside from adaptive capabilities they should add "induces a sense of disorientation and flat out idiocy to his opponents" to his set of powers.
