Lex performed experiments on him in Project 7734 but until the point that I've read in New Krypton (and Brainiac and Lex have escaped and wrecked the entire facility they were in by now) we have not heard anything additional about the outcome of said experimentation (I don't even know if the subject is touched down the road). I'm not far from ending the storyline, so I'll keep you posted as I read more.

There is nothing ever said on the outcome. We have no idea what happened to Doombo inside Lex's lab.

I always figred something would come out of it since when Lane showed Lex Doomsday's corpse, Lex said "Yes, I see...Potential" hinting future developments, particularly since Lex was seen working on Doomsday a couple of times later. I guess they just forgot about it.
Pretty weird that the Lex/Brainiac escape plot occurred in Adventure Comics, though. Because when Mon-El and Parasite escape and Mon sees the facility destroyed, it's totally out of the blue to hear something that major happened in another book entirely and all the people who didn't read Adv. Comics simply got was a caption explaining it.
