Inspired by Jake's "Where are they now?" thread.
Now that we've talked about missing characters, what do you think is a good way to re-introduce them? How can Constrcitor make a return? The Thunderbolts? Cardiac? In a cliche Amazing Spider-Man appearance? Jason Todd? Breaks out of jail? What about others? Put on your thinking caps and spew some ideas in here.

I one for sure don't like the whole "it was a dream". Nothing to this point was real.

lol.
Well, as I said in the OP, I think the Thunderbolts program might be a good way to re-introduce Constrictor. That, or have him re-appear in Taskmaster's mini due to their friendship, however I doubt that will happen. I'd suggest a mini of his own, but let's be honest, he's never been able to hold a title on his own. Even when he was given smaller stories in Marvel Comics Presents, it required a secondary character (Beast).

I'm wondering where Thor Girl went. I'm really upset that she's been completely forgotten, but I also realize that kinda stuff happens. So I went to thinking, "how does she completely get lost flying towards Asgard chasing someone?" And then it hit me. Someone interfered. Now, it'd have to be someone big, and completely off the radar since absolutely no one knew about it. I'm thinking some crazy alien being. Yeah, let's go with Count Abyss. Yeah, let's say Count Abyss broke out of Darklore's dimensional prison and managed to escape into the 616 reality, except he is without his soul, yet again. He remembers having it. He remembers what it was like to actually feel, and he longs for it. Something happened to him that made him lose it, and he wants to know what. Somehow, he doesn't remember all the pain that came with him having a soul, either. In the 616 reality, he seeks out what he believes the source of his soullessness to be, and let's say it's Thor Girl. He finds her and cuts her off from her current quest. The guy is big and bad and out of her league. All during the fight, he accuses her of stealing his soul. She tries to fight back, and does put in a few heavy hits from time to time, but all and all, it's no contest. Tarene falls to her defeat. Abyss is like "surely, this isn't the being that I seek" or something to that effect, and realizes that the only way he can get his soul back is by once again obtaining the Soul Gem. He utilized his powers to discover who was in possession of the item and discerned that it is Strange, the former Sorcerer Supreme. He then leaves to obtain it. And Tarene slips out of consciousness right after hearing that. She now has to find a way to get moving and stop the madman before he hurts someone else. She knows that the power he holds is incredible, and as she is right now, she's no match for him. Then she hears a voice saying "remember who you were." She talks to the voice in her head. It turns out to be the voice of the Designate, reminding her of where she comes from, and what she's meant to do. The Designate voice tells her that if Count Abyss were to continue going about as he is, this realm would fall prey to his madness as others have before, and if that were to happen, her mission would never come to pass. Long story short, Tarene remembers her purpose and part of the power she had reawakens. She's the Designate. She's destined to one day lift mankind to the next stage of whatever. Blah blah blah. She gets up, tracks down Abyss and defeats him by banishing him back into the prison he came from. And that is why Tarene wasn't in Siege. And if I were writing on her, that would be the set up to an ongoing solo series which would feature a few other characters that got "forgotten" by the writers, like Blue Marvel.

A couple of ways that characters have been brought back that I've really liked would, I believe be the best way to answer this
1. The return of Nemesis in Suicide Squad- His last appearance in his original mini had him falling from the chopper after killing the last of the 12( 12 crime lords forming a national criminal syndicate that Nemesis apposed after they killed his FBI agent brother) to his death. He was shown in flash backs being dragged from the river by the FBI, taken to hospital where he spent almost a year in a coma and another going through physio to rebuild himself. Though that's only possible when the body wasn't shown as dead in the original tale.
2. I liked Henry King (Brainwave) Jr's recent return. Where he had been in a 2nd/3rd world nation doing other things and therefore of the grid.
3. The injury causing amnesia works when written well also, as does the been in deep cover operation

I have an entire story planned for the return of the original Stilt Man. It is called Stilt Man in Hell and it is quite possibly the best thing I have ever thought up ever.
I'm still waiting for Marvel to green light it.

I would not be opposed to finding out some heroes that have been absent for a while just happened to not be doing anything. Maybe they were on a vacation or something.
It does not always need to be some villain that nabbed them and inexplicably held them captive for months.
