While flipping through the channels I came to find this little gem on funimation:  Who doesn't like watching some ridiculously pretty lady's tear monsters apart? What I really liked was what they did with Minai, creating a character you'd feel for, she murdered someone and killed herself. Sad right? She's raised as a corpse, thinking of it as punishment having a !@#$ of a monk telling her what to do, but then she runs into Ouri that changes her mind on how this could be looked at as a sort of chance to be a hero, not a punishment for her sins. That was cut short and they killed her off, bravo to akahito for that, thats what I liked right off the bat about that series so far. So what are your thoughts on this series my fellow anime fans? |

Good series. Haven't seen it in English dub though, and honestly don't intend to, at least not anytime soon with my manga/anime schedule. The manga is great too.

It's a bit dark, but you do have some humor slapped on. I like very dark animes that's not at all why I didn't have the courage to try it out. The reason is because I have A LOT of difficulty with schoolgirls with powers focused series. |

To be entirely honest, I don't think I've ever seen any of the cast outside the chick in the middle ever actually at the school, unless you count the episode they meet Ouri outside of it. I don't have a clue as to why Makina runs around in that school girl outfit, she died in it, perhaps that had something to do with it? Or Akahito really enjoys school girl uniforms. They are all corpses and really don't age as far as I can tell, not much of a point of any of them going to school. |

Regardless, it follows that medium. They are in schoolgirl outfits and were schoolgirls. Now they have superpowers and are involved in some conflict and shit. Those anime tend to really bug me.

Okay, but I'll tell you it's no sailor moon and no teaming among these girls. That and the first episode deals with killing a twilight fanboy, that has to score some browny points. |
