I don't watch a ton of anime, but I can safely say that this just passed (or rather leapt by) the rest of the competition as my favourite animated movie.
It's very strange because I'm a fan of some extremely violent, dark, and/or macho fiction (James Bond, Indiana Jones, Conan The Barbarian, Walking Dead, Invincible) but this hit me in a way like no other. Maybe it was the crushing parallels to my own graduating year of high school, but this movie damn near moved me to tears. During the final time leapt my mouth was agape. And this is supposed to be a romance film! Beautiful movie in every way. Has anyone else seen it?

I really hope you give it a go, Morph. It's a very weird movie, and I fear that it may have too much melodrama and sappiness to it, but man, damn, I dug it. It took me through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Plus the english dub was actually pretty good. I usually expect bad english VO but it was more than just serviceable.

I'm open to suggestions and recommendations at this point in time film-wise, so I'll put it down for one of the following days and tell you what I think.

Update: I saw it, even if the whole time travel paradoxes are immensely ignored, I didn't bat an eye too much. Although I wasn't quite moved to tears, but I still enjoyed a rather charming in a way and a bit touching, even if the ending wasn't really an ending.
