I'll try my best to read assorted indy comics when they release. Stuff in the same format as Scott Pilgrim or one-shots or minis or what-have-you.
And when Dark Horse brings back Conan, I will be on that like....uh.....fire on wood!

I might give the new Mass Effect series a shot. It's only on issue 2, after all.
Is anyone interested in reviewing the new Vader series? (or was it a one-shot?)
We definitely should have someone review the Fett series, too.
*insert more babbling here*

I've come up with another type of article I want to do.
With several legacy heroes being resurrected or brought back and their successors being killed off or being thrown off the book (Flash, Green Lantern, Hawk, Atom), it really brings to mind debates that happened when the torch was originally passed to them.
Who is better, Kyle or Hal? Ryan or Ray? Wally or Barry?
I want to address this. I want to read at least 10 issues of each character, including the most critically well received (so for Kyle, it means grabbing some Morrison JLA) and issues leading up to the passing of the torch and directly proceeding it. I want to rate each character in likeability and originality, rate the actual torch pass for both as a story and in its kindness to the former hero and then rate the new hero and kinda give an overall yes/no for the question "Was it worth it?"
Suggestions for Marvel characters I could do this with would be appreciated, too.

That's a pretty awesome suggestion. Even though I'd argue Hand of God (or Circle of Fire) was more important for Kyle character-wise, despite not being as good a story as Morrison's JLA stuff.
Marvel has people changing mantles all the time, so I'm sure we'll find some good ones for you to check out from there, too.

Yeah, probably, but only Captain America, Ghost Rider, Ant Man and Zemo come to mind.

Interesting idea. There's the obvious choices you listed, but also stuff like: Peter Parker / Ben Reilly Brock / Gargan The assorted Mysterios (Morph is all over that) The assorted Kravens The assorted Green Goblins The beareded dude who posed as Thor (go, my knowledge!) What about stuff like female counter-parts? Bullseye/Lady Bullseye. Wolverine/X-23. Yadda yadda?

Yeah, probably, but only Captain America, Ghost Rider, Ant Man and Zemo come to mind. Spidey had Ben Reilly formally taking over for him for a while.
Iron Man had Rhodey (before he became WM).
There has been a fair share of Ronins. Maya Lopez, Clint Barton, now a new guy who used to be Black Widow's husband.
Speaking of Widow, there have been two.
And speaking of Barton, there has been more than one Hawkeye, too. Kate Bishop being number 2.
There have been plenty of Thors, too. Donald Blake, Eric Masterson, Red Norvell, Dargo, or even Beta Ray Bill.
Iron Fist is a mantle in itself.

Oh, and yeah, since we're doing villains as well, the list automatically becomes way bigger.

Yeah, there are lots of villains that go through that. I'd rather stick with recuring ones, though, instead of this Clayface who was in one story and that Boomerang that was only in one story. Or that Rhino that was gonna replace Rhino before he got himself killed.
Venom would be a pretty good one. Captain Boomerang.

Bullseye was Hawkeye, too. Eh. That was obviously not permanent.

Bullseye was Hawkeye, too. I tend not to count the DA since they were dressing up as heroes, but they weren't it. But, sure, technically, he was.
