Discuss all the movies made by Marvel Studios here. These included the so far released: The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
The Avengers is scheduled for a 2012 release, while Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 are scheduled for a 2013 release. No other properties have been officially announced yet, although several unknown are in the very beginning stages of development.

HOMIGAWD THEY SUX.
But really, Marvel Studios has done a downright amazing job so far. Iron Man is a classic, I loved The Incredible Hulk, Thor was a blast, and Iron Man 2 was at least fun. I'm excited to see Cap tonight and definitely highly anticipating the Avengers.

Whatever happened to Ant-Man that was supposed to be coming out? Last time I heard about the movie, it was supposed to have Simon Pegg as the lead role and it was going to be an action/comedy.

Erik-El, Last I knew Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott v world) was interested and the script is going through revisions.

Edgar Wright has been writing the script for a while and he is indeed doing revisions. He has described it as something like a secret ops movie. I believe he is also aiming to use the Scott Lang character. Obviously this is all subject to change, but I don't even want to see an Ant-Man movie at all. That's going to be Marvel Studios' box office flop.

But every movie Marvel Studios has made so far has been great. I saw Captain America last night and it was another really good one.

In other news: Captain America made $4 million in its midnight showings last night, more than any other comic book movie this year (XMFC $3.38, GL $3.35, Thor $3.25) Hopefully this means good news for opening big at the box office and having great legs. boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=3216&p=.htm

Based on interviews, Pegg seems like a really cool and easy going guy. Definitely a fellow geek who is fully appreciative of all the success he's had so far.

Did War Zone get done by Marvel Studios? Because that one was not bad.

Did War Zone get done by Marvel Studios? Because that one was not bad. No. But Marvel has the rights to Punisher now. Feige announced that at SDCC 2010.

Yeah I feel the same. I wonder why Marvel wants to make this. Or at least so soon.

They can definitely promote it as their first off-beat superhero movie.

They range from very good to just o.k
Marvel studios needs to try harder.

I'm not sure trying harder is the most accurate statement. Maybe. But it almost seems that they need to just 'go all out' more. Maybe the two coincide, but I think that most of their movies feel just a little 'held back.'

Personally I think they suffer from trying to much to appeal to all audiences, not enough attention to story and acting over special effects, and general rushing of the production leaving lots of weak points.

I thought the acting in all of their movies except The Incredible Hulk was very good. I'm not sure if you saw Cap yet, but it definitely seemed to me that Joe Johnson put story and characters over special effects.

What role didn't you like in The Incredible Hulk? I had no issue with Bruce or Betty.
