It was my understanding Thanos was flat-out confirmed by a legit source, but never officially announced.

I don't believe Loki would hand him the gauntlet or anything. Maybe Loki has information on the location of one of the gems, or something of similar nature. Because, really, if Loki had it, why not use it himself? (that's me talking without having watched Thor yet, though) Exactly, Loki wouldn't just hand that over. The IG with all of the gems on it was seen in Thor. It is extremely easy to miss so you would have to look for a SS of it. Try checking the Thor movie thread, I think one was posted there. Good question. The vault of Odin also contained many other supposedly super powerful items. But from what I understand, Odin is just keeping them there for safe keeping so no villain could use them, not for them to use themselves. Loki might be able to steal it, but I have a feeling Odin would be wise to that.

On one hand, the Avengers have fought Thanos several times for him to be included in a film, on the other hand, the Avengers have always been, for all intends and purposes, fodder so that Adam Warlock, Doc Strange and/or Silver Surfer would come up with something to stop the big man.

Sounds good.
One reason why I may doubt it being the Skrulls, is that they would be taking a back seat to Loki. They would seem more like a throwaway army who is obeying someone other than a Skrull, and I'm not sure how likely that would be.

You know what project Whedon needs to get in on....the next G.I. Joe movie. Joss Whedon should be kept as far away as possible from a G.I Joe movie... as in Alpha Centauri far away

Since I haven't seen Thor, I am not privy to what really makes this version of Loki tick, but it's possible Loki and the Skrulls have some sort of pact with them keeping Earth for their own purposes in exchange for God knows what.

Well since the movie avenger verse states the gods, frost giants and such are actually aliens *insert vomiting at the concept here*. Then maybe the skrulls are goblins. Goblins in Norse mythology are shapeshifters and magicians. Makes sense that earth mythology might remember the skrulls as the goblins. Insert Loki and voila, you get your skrulls.

Plus lost points cause Hawkeye uses a bow ... Would you prefer it if he used a slingshot?

OHMIGAWD DID U C THA WAY RUFFALO SAID THX? I MISS NORTON HE WULD HAVE SAID THX SO MUCH BTR. Actually, I think I'm starting to be ok with Ruffalo. He managed to look pretty natural as Banner for the 2 or 3 seconds we saw him. I still think Norton was freakin perfect as Banner, but I can take Ruffalo too.

Would you prefer it if he used a slingshot? It certainly would be so ridiculously cool that it would be better then a bow But no, he should be using a fucking gun like every competent soldier in this century!

A man weilding a bow & arrow in a comic book movie doesn't upset me one bit. Especially considering that's...you know, what the comic counter-part does.

It's really more an expression of his bada$$ attitude than anything else. He's so good he can kill you with an inferior weapon and make it look easy.

Yeah, using a bow and arrow in that Universe is stupid. Especially when one of the most dangerous assassins relies on throwing weapons
