Yeah, using a bow and arrow in that Universe is stupid. Especially when one of the most dangerous assassins relies on throwing weapons Him using throwing weapons is actually smarter then using a bow, since they are much more concealable. Not that it isn't silly that of all people a character named Bullseye doesn't use guns

You know what else is silly? Banner turning into the Hulk instead of becoming sick from radiation poisoning.
It's a comic book movie. Hawkeye using a bow & arrow like his comic counter-part shouldn't be an issue.

captain america is still using a god-damn shield, except for the couple of seconds when he's spraying with that gun, and I don't have a problem with that, so i'm okay with hawkeye using a bow and arrow. maybe it's his way of limiting himself because otherwise it'd be too easy, or somesuch. maybe that's the explanation in the comics. i really have no idea, i don't think i've read a single issue involving hawkeye. although, ever since that patton oswalt bit where he talks about the avengers recruiting from a sporting goods store ("i like the way you tetherball, sir. how would you like to take on ultron?"), i can't help but grin like an idiot when i think of hawkeye.
anyways, trailer.
looks good. reminds me of transformers 3 for some reason, except not awful looking. good to see ruffalo finally at the end of the trailer. looking forward to it.
edit: also, though i am no fan, that was a fan-fucking-tastic usage of nine inch nails. good one.

except for the couple of seconds when he's spraying with that gun He was spray and praying like a total n00b. yeah, he was looking pretty frantic. probably his breakdown as he gets separated from his shield and can't break through the bullet-proof glass that's between him and a critically wounded RDJ/ScarJo/Renner/Ruffalo (who then changes into the Hulk for the first time in the movie and saves the rest of them, redeeming himself in the eyes of his teammates). official plot speculation brought to you by: sleep deprivation.

You think that's it's more realistic for a dude to gain superpowers from gamma radiation than it is for a perfect marksman to be extremely dangerous when he's armed with a myriad of trick arrows designed by one of the greatest weapon inventors in the world?

Thankfully my suspension of disbelief is to the point where I can ENJOY a perfect marksman/archer or a gamma spawned goliath. ;D

I see the asylum patient is still convinced of his own status as a diety. Too bad we can't convince him otherwise.

crom's anti-bow Troll Force sure is in full effect tonight in this thread. The US Army Forward Observers have an unofficial prayer: " Yea, tho I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death I will fear no evil; for I command the biggest damn guns in the valley."

Not feeling the soundtrack and it looks like I might potentially lose my bet with Ckal.

Get ready to see a lower karma in 7 months Well I hoping that is his baby staff we see in the trailer, cuz I thought it was waaay bigger than that, lol. But yeah winner gets the exalt, loser gets the smite. If he staff doesn't get a cube on it I may be facing the loss of my already so little karma!
