Do you think most people would be okay with a parent spanking their kid in public? Not you, most people. Need to point that out.
The way that you assume that it must be the parents fault leads me to believe that you've never watched kids.

No I do not think they are. I think most people are idiots though.
I have watched children before. Poorly raised children are almost always the parents fault. That is why they call it poorly raised children.

That is why they call it poorly raised children. Then you should know they're the devil when their parents aren't around. Oh and what about kids that are shared between divorced parents? What if only one parent is doing a bad job? How to do you tell which one it is? It's almost as if your joke plan doesn't actually hole water.

They are the devil when the parents are not around but that is not the issue. When the parents ARE around, they should be well behaved. Especially when in a public place where the results of their parenting skills are displayed for all to see.
As for divorced parents. When that one good parent is present, I should not be able to tell that the kid is a little bastard and if I can, then that so-called good parent is not that good at all.

No one would see that anyway because you banned them.
Bullshit, a good parent can only make up for so much.

And that is the way I prefer it since most parents are unfit for the job anyway.
Maybe in the long run sure. But when that supposedly good parent is present, that kid should be very well behaved else they are not doing their job.

Bad parents undermine good parents.
Are you a parent?

Bad parents are the majority.
Maybe. If I am I sure as hell would never want to know.

You can't prove that.
Also you don't even know what parenting is like, so how can you judge?

I can prove that by watching the majority of kids. Parents are sure quick to pass the buck, which is another major problem with parents. No one taking responsibility for themselves or their actions.... or more specifically, their inaction.
I do not need to know what parenting is like. Parenting has not changed, parents have. It is not that big of a thing to control your child and if you cannot do that, you are NOT fit for parenthood. There is the parent and then there is the child. Those roles should not be blurred. The parent is the one responsible for controlling and disciplining their spawn. It is the parent's JOB to ensure their child is raised with an understanding of respect and decency. No excuses. If the kid is not brought up with these very basic things, the parents HAVE failed. I do not need to be an architect to know one had failed if his design crumbles and kills hundreds.

That's just the kid around you and you are a trouble magnet.
Things have changed, culture, technology and lots of other stuff that could effect parenting.

I do not talk to kids. The major failing of parents today have ensured that I do not think kids are worth talking to.
What have these things really done to make things harder for parents? Are you going to try to tell me that because we can drive an electric car, that kids are impossible to control?

It's just the parents around you, it's not the whole world. No, because most people look down on punishment now, especially spankings which I've heard compared to abuse.

I already know that there are some parents out there that do their job very well. I have even seen one on occasion. But they are hardly the majority.
And so what? You think everyone approved of it when my own mother popped me one in the face for disrespecting her? Hell I can guarantee that someone shifted around uncomfortably but I never disrespected her after that. In fact, I can safely say that I never disrespected her more than a handful of times in my entire life and every time I did, I got put in my place immediately. I turned out just fine and much more responsible than most adults I know my age today.
The overall point is that just because society frowns on certain types of discipline, does not mean that the parent gets to say that their hands are tied. That is just that same bullshit I hear all the time like, "I did not make my child obese, the fast food did." Sure sure and it had nothing to do with the fact that you purchased the sludge for most meals for a decade.
And none of those excuses explain why I must suffer for these "faultless" parents in a public place.

I simply can't argue with you. You're making this black and white when it's clearly far more complex than that.

I have even seen one on occasion. That wasn't a parent, that was Superman in disguise.

That is the parent's fault. Doubly so when the parent tries to pass the buck. I have even seen one on occasion. That wasn't a parent, that was Superman in disguise. I should have known!

This is the silliest thing I've read today. Letting this be a thing would make me think someone's playin' a bad joke. (But still a funny one.)
