Nothing, but it is an objective truth that he is not the best. He's good, just not the best.

He's awesome, but not my favorite character in comics, let alone fiction.

Superman: Earth One was good. Not good enough for someone to leave the mainstream Superman title for, but good. I did overall enjoy it but I did take issue with one thing.

Okay. I will explain what I mean. Minor Spoiler:The S has long been revealed to be Kal-El's the sign of his family. His 'coat of arms' so to speak. In the Earth One version, it is Martha that made it because he is 'super'. She even gave him the name Superman, which has always been a Lois thing. Nothing major, but I get hung up on the little things like that. Other than that, I liked the story a great deal.

Okay. I will explain what I mean. Minor Spoiler:I agree with that, I don't like when they change things like that. Martha should be the one to give him glasses, Lois names him. He gains the ability to fly when a teenager in Smallville. etc. The S has long been revealed to be Kal-El's the sign of his family. His 'coat of arms' so to speak. In the Earth One version, it is Martha that made it because he is 'super'. She even gave him the name Superman, which has always been a Lois thing. All Star Batman and Robin was one of the worst comics I've ever read. I even tried to keep an open mind about it. All Star Bats I haven't read but All Star Supes was freaking awesome

Has anyone heard of Superman: Earth One? I am told it goes on the shelfs on 10/27. The preview seems interesting but Superman seems a little gloomy. I'm going to buy the Trade today. Heard it was pretty bad ass

This scan is from Superman #701 which was a really good issue, Supes talks a young woman out of committing suicide, really shows Clark in a different light.
