Yeah..but what the hell? The last issues have been awful...lol I remember showing Crum issue 700 when the woman slap Superman and told her about her husband. Crum said that she was selfish.

For now. I mean I don't when to drag this walkathon out for too much longer but for me personally, it's a nice change of pace for Supes. Yeah..but what the hell? The last issues have been awful...lol I remember showing Crum issue 700 when the woman slap Superman and told her about her husband. Crum said that she was selfish. She was but I can see why she was so upset. Supes being the kind of person he is, would feel responsible for it.

I always and still wonder the real reason why people hate Supes.

I always and still wonder the real reason why people hate Supes. My guess is ignorance, it's once thing to dislike a character but another to flat out hate him, and for all the wrong reasons. People who generally hate him think he's the same sterotypical good guy that he was 50 years ago, and think he has a 1 dimensional personality. Truth is he's a deep character that goes beyond that. If people stopped complaining and actually read one of the good tradebacks, they might not feel the same way.

People still want to "relate" to him. Where on Earth will a person find someone that can relate to Superman? He's not designed nowadays to be rateable. He's designed to be someone to aspire to be. You may hit a few notes on him, that'll just make you a better person. I see a few things that I can relate to in his personality now only because am doing things he would do.

I like it when Clark looked at the formula the scientist were working on for 3 years and he figures it out in the moment he looks at it. That's speed thinking!!

I like the scene of Earth-22 Superman saving the suicide girl in JSA.
Oh and Superman Secret Origin was great. I do not even mind that it retcons Birthright anymore. Lois has remarkable depth in the mini and Superman is drawn exactly like Christopher Reeve.
Much better than Superman: Earth-One AKA Ultimate Superman.

Yeah, I did love them all.
I also like in Robin they made an issue just on a boy about to jump and Robin spent the night talking to him. I think it was then that made him go 3rd in my favourites.

I remember seeing somewhere, I can't figure it out, when a person was about to jump of a building and he made Superman promise (because he doesn't break them) not to save him. And he waited there all day and night and day again, not moving an inch. SUPERMAN WE LOVE YOU!!

I always and still wonder the real reason why people hate Supes. I kinda disliked him for a while just because he seemed too... perfect. It's not that the only heroes I like are the gritty, dark, brooding ones, but Superman just didn't seen entirely realistic and relatable on the surface. Thought I have looked into him more since then, and have found him to be a more realistic character than I had originally thought. And while he is still difficult to relate to, I have come to realize what Supreme Marvel was talking about. He's not really supposed to be relatable.

Neither is Batman either. Quite true. He's just more popular with a lot of people because he's all dark and gritty and bada$$ and stuff. ...Not that there's not a ton of other characters just like that, but whatever. :/
