I have stuff on Youtube but it's stuff I didn't put on there. I hate the sound of my voice on recordings.

Most people do starting out. You need to keep at it so you can get used to it, then listen to it so you can see where and how you can improve.

People tell me I sound great, but its just a personal thing. Most people feel that way. I hear a lot artists don't listen to their own music because of that very reason.

And again, it's something you gotta get used to if you wanna critique yourself.

Everyone sounds different to themselves when they listen back on their recordings. We are just hearing our voices in a different way than what we are used to.

Yeah. I'll get used to it. As long as others love hearing me sing, I'm happy. I love singing in general, though.

I have to learn that myself. It does kind of go hand in hand with acoustic guitar playing.

Do you have anything on Youtube, EE? I do not know how to play yet, so no. I have a strong desire to learn though. I just need my first guitar.

For your first guitar to learn I would suggest a cheap one at a pawn shop. That's what I did and I was glad I did because i gave it up.

Saved me so much money. It's better to start off teaching yourself as well because it's cheaper that way than lessons. If you learn and like it, then you could get lessons if you want.

I always intended to teach myself. There are so many things online that tell you how to play, proper finger placement and all. But saving money by buying used is probably the best bet for me.

Anyone have an instrument that you want to get? The dream drum set? The fantasy guitar? Anything?

There's a positively glorious Strat at my local music shop that's got a Hot Rod red finish, and it's from the 50s, that's running for around $2000. There's a modern one that looks the exact same, just in better condition and....new. It's running for around $1500.
I would sacrifice ten small animals to get one of those guitars and a correspondingly amazing amp.

I can play the Alto Saxaphone, the drums. Used to be able to play a bit of guitar and harmonica but I've totally forgotten how. I just prefer to sing, although I'm not really great at it.
@highball I wanna hear you sing!

I remember that in the early 90's it was all about the drums. Everyone wanted to learn drums. Then all of a sudden, the shift went to guitar. It was like a mass exodus of drum fans to guitar.

Guitar Hero was pretty much what got me into playing guitar.
Well, okay, that's not right. My brother got into playing guitar like eight years ago and was like "you should learn how" and I was also like "nah" and then I played Guitar Hero when I was, like, 15 or something and that gave me the motivation to learn.
But yeah, Guitar Hero/Rock Band and the like are definitely what I would attribute to the rise of guitar sales and players.
