= Yup, no stupid gimmicks... No clown makeup, no bird-themed weapons and henchmen. That would be stupid, alright. How long has it been since you've read Batman? Oswald Cobblepott hasn't been like that since the Silver Age.Great White Shark should especially not get in the movie, he's a nobody barely worth mentioning as a member of Batman's rogues. As true as that may be, his 'gimmicky' persona is generally all that anyone knows him as. Find ten people on the street who have any real familiarity with Batman's rogues gallery, and ask them to describe the Penguin. Eight or nine of them will probably tell you he's a very gimmicky character who wears tuxedos, makes penguinish sounds, ect. That's just what the general public knows him as, whether it's currently accurate or not. The idea of putting him in a grim and gritty Batman movie would be well recieved only by the few people who keep up with Batman consistantly enough to know what Penguin is really like now.

All of Batman's villains are pretty campy when you get down to it. I'm glad they settled on Catwoman and Bane, though. Both need some major TLC and a revamp would be awesome. ^_^

I am not pleased with the decision to use Bane.
I am also not happy with who they chose for Catwoman.

I do not agree. If Bane gets venom, the show is over for me. I do not want to see Bane tossing cars around Hulk style.
As far as Catwoman goes, I wanted to see her in the film, just that the woman selected does not fit the bill for me.

I do not agree. If Bane gets venom, the show is over for me. I do not want to see Bane tossing cars around Hulk style. All Bane did in Knightftall regarding cars was LAND on one, lol. The use of venom is not needed. Off the venom, Bane is still a powerful human, and enough to match Wayne in good fights. That combined with his intellect should make for a good foe in this movie.

I am not just talking about his comic book appearances though. In literally every single other medium he is in, he is a Hulk with tubes sticking out of him. That is why people think Bane is a 10 tonner. Because they see that shit in the cartoons and video games.

Maybe. Maybe not.
I also did not like the actress chosen for Catwoman.
