Daredevil isn't getting revamped after Shadowland but his comic is starting a new volume in July. Well, there is a possibility that his character will be reestablished in that volume though.

What proof do we have that the ruby does diffuse the optic blasts? Is it some remark by someone who could have been manipulated by either Sinister or Prof. X?

What proof do we have that the ruby does diffuse the optic blasts? Is it some remark by someone who could have been manipulated by either Sinister or Prof. X? It's been common knowledge since the beginning, but I don't recall any specific examples of someone saying it.

What proof do we have that the ruby does diffuse the optic blasts? Is it some remark by someone who could have been manipulated by either Sinister or Prof. X? Lol how about every single issue of X-Men where the visor is removed, damaged or used to otherwise manipulate his optic blasts. That is an utterly ridiculous question. Of course the ruby quartz diffuses his optics. It is not like Scott can control the blasts after they have already left his head. He can only control the power and range as it is leaving his head. Yet somehow, ruby quartz always has diffused the kinetic force. Again, before you start conjuring up conspiracy theories, you should read the issues so you at least have a rudimentary understanding of the characters.

Superman is known as someone who's limits are a very grey area. Wolverine... Well how about you tell me what limits he should have that he has gone beyond? Because I am actually really curious what you think you know about him.

When i said limits i meant bad writing, majority of supermans showings against darkseid are plain absurd, wolverines limits are admittedly tough to define so i'm gonna need to dig up on him. but regardless supes is the most wanked character in all of comics.

Okay fair enough with Wolverine. I am can wait. Superman gets a wide margin of play due to his kryptonian nature. Batman does not.

There is no fair amount of margin of play that justifies him doing better then getting rapestomped by the Lord of Apocalips

Depends on his stored energy levels. I see no reason why a sun-dipped Superman could not do it. Sun-dipped superman should always get his ass handed to him by Darkseid. Darkseid when written at his actual power level is of a greater tier then Zeus, High father, Athena, Shazam etc. He straddles between Sky-Father and above power tiers even without the anti-life equation. He's whitstood blasts from the highest powered Spectre we've ever seen without much trouble and actually managed to annihilate the physical shell Spectre was using. The only thing that saved him was the Presence. Bullshit on sun-dipped superman being able to beat the lord of Apocalypse

The Spectre has one-shotted Darkseid. Yes he has, because Spectre is more powerful then Darkseid. Doesn't mean the above mentioned event didn't happen and wasn't an actual valid feat. Since Spectre's power levels fluctuate greatly.

I don't even remember when the above mentioned happened, but I can't see how it could conceivably make sense when a weaker version of the Spectre killed him with minimal effort.

Probably because it wasn't a weaker version... Regardless, Darkseid is far more powerful then superman can even dream to be.

Clarify. Because the Hal Jordan version of the Spectre is nowhere near the most powerful overall. Jim Corrigan's feats make Hal look like a child.
And yes, I agree that in a well written comic, Superman doesn't stand a chance against Darkseid.

Clarify. Because the Hal Jordan version of the Spectre is nowhere near the most powerful overall. Jim Corrigan's feats make Hal look like a child. Because it was Geoff Johns Hal Jordan Spectre. That man has such a man crush on Hal Jordan he might as well have him face punch the presence and end all arguments there... By all rights the Spectre should never have been able to kill Darkseid. But since it's Geoff Johns Hal Jordan Spectre, it's the most powerful Spectre by his man crush mandate.
