This is insane. You read about it and it seems bad but it is not the same as seeing actual footage. Yahoo has a link to a bunch of videos of the tsunami happening and it is just shocking. You see cars driving along, not even knowing the wave is coming then they are just gone.
32 foot waves. I saw a clip of it showing the wave coming from BEHIND a tree line.

Now Japanese authorities speak of 10,000 dead in one single area and they are afraid about a second nuclear reactor now. Also newer estimations about the size of the earthquake say that it was 9.0 and not 8.9.

If I were there, I would not even know where to start on the cleanup. Would it even be worth it to rebuild after that complete destruction or just move on?

They are trying to cool off the second reactor using sea water, in order to prevent a core meltdown but it doesn't seem to work.
