How do you feel about heroes and villains going to the other side or that have already gone to the other side?
Do you like it or hate it?
Are there characters you think should make the change?
Are there characters you think should never under any circumstance, make the change?

Depending on how it's orchestrated, I'm fine with it.

As long as it's done well I'm cool with it. Face Heel turns are usually interesting.

I think there are some characters that should be left alone in the mainstream universes.

I agree with the general opinion. As long as it's done very well, I don't mind.

A character I would like to see as a bad guy is Wolverine. The reason is because they usually make villains pretty damn smart. I do not mean like Wolverine possessed by a demon thing. I mean the real Wolverine in complete control of his actions making the switch. Making him scary has always been a good move for Marvel.
Superman should never be made evil. Not ever. I cannot think of a single way that could be a good story.

Agreed about Superman. There's no way to make him a villain, he's too much of good guy.

The closest we've seen was Enemy of the State, and even a "What If?" about Enemy of the State (Kitty Pryde kills him by phasing her hand into his head. She loses her hand/wrist by doing so).

I don't have a problem with it i just don't like when it's done for no reason or poorly written.I hate when writers excite me for a storyline and then write something stupid.

I wouldn't want someone like Joker to turn out a good guy though, regardless of how well it's written.

I'm usually of the mind that if it's well done storyline wise "switching sides" can be great. Problem is that's not an easy thing for a writer to pull off.

Depends on the hero or villain in question...

There are some characters that I feel just can't trade sides. I mean, I don't see Joker joining the Justice League, and we all saw how fantastic Green Goblin in the Avengers was. That said, heroes and villains trading sides can make for some very interesting stories depending on how they are handled; The Redeemers/The Thunderbolts has at several points been a must read for both me and my brother.

Superman should never be made evil. Not ever. I cannot think of a single way that could be a good story. Irredeemable would beg to differ. In all seriousness, while such a thing should not, and will not, ever happen in normal continuity, some what ifs could make a damn good story out of it.

In all seriousness, while such a thing should not, and will not, ever happen in normal continuity, some what ifs could make a damn good story out of it. That is specifically what I think alternate universes and possible futures should be used for. Exploring all the interesting things that should never happen in the mainstream universes. I liked Irredeemable because it was not Superman. Had it been a canon issue of Superman, I would have shot my heart right at DC. For me, Superman should never be toyed with like that in the mainstream universe.

I like it when villains redeem themselves and become a "good guy." Me, I actually liked when the Master redeemed himself.
However, some villains are always villains. Good examples:
Dr. Doom Bullseye Darkseid Joker
Etc. Etc. Though I wouldn't mind Sinestro retaining his anti-hero status.

It depends. If it's done right, I guess I don't mind it. But I agree that some characters should stay as it is.

I like it when it's written well, but not when it's just a gimmick (I'm gonna throw a dart at a bunch of names on a wall. The name I hit will turn into a bad guy in my next issue. Derp).
