I like it when it's written well, but not when it's just a gimmick (I'm gonna throw a dart at a bunch of names on a wall. The name I hit will turn into a bad guy in my next issue. Derp). like what they did to a certain doctor in the Batman ark "War games" god they dropped the bomb there.

What's worse is when they do stuff like that to keep up with other Comic companies (at least that's what it seems like sometimes). DC Publisher: What... OH HOLY F**K! Guys, get the writers on the line! Marvel killed Captain America, got another character to take his mantle, and then brought the original back to life!!! Man oh man oh man... this is big. They are going to get so much attention from this. We need to find a way to compete....... I'VE GOT IT! Let's just set up a plan to copy them! We're going to kill Batman, get another character to take his mantle, and then bring the original back to life! ;D

I don't have a problem with it i just don't like when it's done for no reason or poorly written.I hate when writers excite me for a storyline and then write something stupid. I'm of the same mind on any character change. If the change in a character done that has natural development, and I can see logical reasons for the change than i like it. It can often be a good way to explore a character. Changes needn't be dramatic to achieve this either. A perfect case in point would be the character of Oliver Queen. During the Grell run (from long bow hunters to the series that followed)Ollie was changed from your basic normal street hero set of the SA with slight leanings to the right, to a harder line character more prepared to kill. The progression that occurred to make this change in character made sense, it flowed and under the circumstances you could see a person reacting to these events this way. This is vastly contrast to the way Jud Winick made changes to the character. he tore the character up, what he did to Oliver made no sense, there wasn't a good reason. It was shortcut and very poor writing IMHO

As long as it develops the character, I'm down for it.
