Misconception: All Old Republic Jedi and Sith are superior duelists to the Rise of the Empire era, Rebellion era, New Republic era, and New Jedi Order era Jedi and Sith. (Because we all know an out of context statement by a crazy old woman is credible.)

@crom: I mention misconceptions from Star Wars mainly just to vent. Those are things I hear too often in Star Wars battle threads on the Vine, and I basically just sick of hearing them. I also post them to make sure that if ever there was a Star Wars battle thread here (only so likely), no one tries to use those as proof of their point.

Slapping a woman one is not beating here. And even if it was, he only did so once, so it barely counts. Ultimate Pym makes me sick to be honest. He's flarked up. How many banks do you have to rob before you are considered a bank robber? I think there is some truth in both of these. I agree with Decoy that Hank may not have exactly beaten Janet, but he did hit her, which is beyond wrong. I also though agree with Erik's point, and his analogy with the bank robber is good. But here is the cross between the two. Hank is no longer like that. He moved beyond that type of mistake. That is the kicker point. |

Misconception: SuperMan will fly at light speed or faster while under earth's atmosphere. (Even though he has specifically addressed the need to go slower to make sure he causes no damage to earth's atmosphere. But apparently no one reads those parts or simply choose not to.)

Misconception: Energy constructs are the only abilities Green Lanterns have. (Except for the part where they also have invisibility, intangibility, matter manipulation, telekinesis, super strength, force fields, light speed travel, etc.)
