I showed my sister & brother in law the trailer last night. They're dying to see it now and they're not even remotely comic fans.

Nice. Based on what I've seen/read, I think this movie will appeal to non comic fans as well, which is awesome. I hope this movie makes absolute tons at the box office and gets fantastic reviews. I really want it to greatly succeed on all levels.

I think it will. The trailers look fantastic. Trailers are what get fans in theaters these days.

Yeah, trailers are incredibly important. Even bad movies get audiences with good trailers. I remember being excited for Wolverine beforehand, then when I actually saw it.....yeah...
But it seems like Thor is going to be a great movie.

I had to keep it once I saw it. It replaced my Spider-Man toy pic that said the same thing. Instant classic.

Awesome clips!
But I'm going to avoid reading the review until after I've seen the movie.

CBR is calling it "the best comic movie yet".

CBR is calling it "the best comic movie yet". Bold claim. I felt TDK was the best so far and I am not even a Batman fan.

Ugh, TDK, yackity yack. Every time I watch it, it gets worse. It's a good film, but every time I see more and more things that annoy me. It's definitely a good film and in the top few superhero movies, but it gets over praised.
I want more comic book movies to be better than TDK so we just have a much deeper field of fantastic comic book movies being offered. I hope Thor is one of them, Captain America another, and Green Lantern another, and that's just this year. I want every super hero movie to be better than TDK, except for ones made by Fox Studios. Yep.

I agree that it gets too much praise but I honestly do not think anything short of Star Trek beats it. But that may only be because Star Trek gave me 127 minutes of goose bumps.
*Insert satisfied fanboy pic here*

Oh and also the fact that Star Trek is not a super hero movie.

They didn't use the iconic Star Trek music.

Ah I see what you mean. I actually liked the scores for the film. It was fresh and energetic, which is what JJ was going for. I feel he succeeded.
