As far as MvC moves go, I find myself having much more trouble with the half circle command grab motions over anything else. Z-motion, zig-zag, shoryken motions are up there too, but mostly because I have trouble distinguishing them from those quarter circle, down forward, hadoken attacks. Can't tell you how many combos I messed up because of that. My brain just exploded. |

Bunch of MK haters up in here. The game is a ton of fun. Haven't played MvC3, so I can't comment on the game. I've never found myself bored with MK9 because of it's 'simplicity.' The game isn't easy, unless you are all playing it on beginner mode. It takes a bit to actually be good at one character. Combos are specials are cool and look nice, and everyone is different. Great game.

Keep on hatin Vance. Let the hate flow through you. It's not hate.Most 3D fighters i've played are better than MK9 IMO.The style of gameplay just works better in 2D.MK Trilogy is still the best MK i've ever played. |

nah, but seriously.
uh, I've only played the MK9 demo but MvC has always been more my style, even though I'm pretty "meh" at it. It's a ton of fun, really fast, looks real pretty and is always exciting. Gotta dig it. MK9 was pretty fun too, but for slower fighters I'm more of a Street Fighter fella (or mayhap Garou). That being said, it is extremely entertaining to watch.
also, they're both very easy games to get into, but hard to master. like any good fighter, really. MvC3 is easy to jump into but if you play a pro you are going to get your ass-whupped. Same thing with MK9. I dunno if there's any more depth to be found in comparison to each other - they're just two different styles. MK9 slower, a bit more methodical, whereas MvC3 is some twitchy stuff, and requires you to be on top form with your reaction times.

It doesn't however function how it did when it was strictly 2D.Capcom went from sprites to 3D Models and it's the same gameplay.WB did the same thing with MK and it's been a different experience since. |

I've always found the characters in MK more interesting than Street Fghter. I like the slower fighting style more as well.

"Whatever, fans will just be happy to play it." lol According to gaming websites and blogs..the fans are pissed.It's like we knew Capcom was going to eff us over and we bought it anyway.They added two new characters..Jill and Shuma Gorath but I think the DLC was delayed.There is supposed to be another version of the game dropping soon though.It's rumored but I expect it to happen.I saw something when searching for if there was extra characters that suggested Doc Ock would be DLC soon. |
