So this is in line with all the revamping stuff we've been talking about, but it's going larger, revamping a universe. Be it Marvel , DC, Image ect. What universe do you think needs to be changed or brought back and how?
I'll start.
I think Dark Horse needs to either bring back its Greatest world line or make the DS universe more cohesive I know there are crossovers here and there but I think with the exception of licensed work they might be able to do something nice or at least make an effort. (Hellboy/Grendel ect.)
Top cow needs to get it's priorities straight and introduce new enemies for the main characters to fight because at this point everyone is sorely lacking in that department. They should also center more of the universe around the artifacts example morningstar's original idea for technoderm came from the engravings on one of the artifacts .or something like this.

Vertigo -Get back together -Create a cohesive universe based on mature magical characters outside of DC with established people (Hellblazer, Sandman, Swamp Thing ect.) Hell you could even fit Fables in theoretically. -Stop letting DC dictate to you. -Bring Back books of magic -Leave superheroes out of your continuity

I'll make some amends to Marvel since I read more of it than anything.
1. Stronger female characters with their own titles. (DC does a good job of this) 2. Wolverine doesn't need to be an Avenger, X-Man & member of X-Force. Less is more and get him a better writer for his solo series. 3. Spider-Man: See Wolverine 4. Hire someone whose sole purpose is to be a historian/fact checker. I see way too many characters in different books in completely different geographical locations. Mr Hyde appears in Moon Knight (set in LA) and at the same time he's also still a prisoner on the RAFT. The little things like that bug the crap out of me. Same thing with the Mad Thinker in Avengers/FF at the same time. 5. Give Bendis one Avengers book and someone else take over the other one. Diversity is important.

I would like Marvel to get rid of all those bullshit characters that are unimportant that Marvel keeps trying to make important. Like Hawkeye. Kill that guy.
Or when they made the right call by killing off a usless character (Wasp) and then announce somewhere they plan to bring her back.

To Marvel Stop whoring your comics with movie deals That makes them money so I do not see the problem with that. What I do see the problem with is when they take a character that has evolved past whatever movie plot they have going and reset the comic character to match said movie. Like Steve Rogers becoming Captain America again. I know it only is happening because of the movie because Marvel thinks people who never read the comics before will actually give a shit if Rogers is not Captain America anymore.

Marvel: - Make Deadpool cool again - Make Moon Knight cool again - Fire Loeb and put Bendis on probation - Let the status quo actually chance once in a while. You know, let dead characters stay dead (except Nightcrawler. He'd better be back some day.) - Intigrate the X titles more with the rest of the universe. For the last few years, it seems like all the major threats in the Marvel U have been "threats that involve the X-Men and nobody else" and "threats that involve everyone except the X-Men cuz they just stay off in their own little corner." - Don't listen to anything Erik says. He want's you to kill Hawkeye. It's obvious that he's mentally challenged. - At least fuse Wolverine with Multiple Man or something, just so you can reasonably explain how he's on eighteen different teams at once. - Fire Loeb again.

Didn't you hear the order that went down? They're all getting put back into the DCU. Except for the creator owned stuff.

Huh? I know Swamp Thing and Constantine have appeared in Brightest Day, but I didn't know the whole universe is being merged back...

Huh. Well there's me talking out of my ass...
I'm okay with that though. Some of their best comics were made through synthesis with the superheroes.

I'll enjoy a Constantine and Zatanna duo. I think they work real well together. And I love when they're with Tim Hunter he's like their son.

I always saw Vertigo as the DC equivalent to Marvel's Epic line. As such, I think that the Vertigo/DC overlap can work if they do manage to keep it split off from the mainstream DC line, like what Marvel's been doing with the Punisher/PunisherMax comics.
I also agree that the Dark Horse Heroes line needs to be brought back.
Beyond that, I try not to monkey with the established universes and try to just make mine function.
Yes, that's right, I created my own comics universe.
