That's what I thought, too, but luckily enough I didn't stay up for it.

We know he probably won't use much or anything from his All-Star series. Maybe that'll be the type of Superman we see. But I think it'll be like Casino Royale for James Bond. The first year will be like Superman's Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace and possible the next film. Something that Superman need to work on to become that character, maybe? Smallville done amazing. Basically.
I'm intrigued on what he meant by, "something that film can't do". I wonder what he meant by that, because film can do anything.

I am hoping this apparently "half-reboot" will be well organized with clear understandings on what each character can do and what they cannot do. With character derailment kept to a minimum now. That would be awesome.

I'm OK with it, honestly. We got some good stories from that. It was not handled all that well, overall, but it's still not something I'd want to see wiped out.
