Pfft, them templars should have decapitated them pussy assassins in Assassin's creed 1 and ended it there.
But seriously, the game play is fun, so are the graphics. But story and in-universe logic of those games makes my eyes bleed.

I wholeheartedly agree in the nonsense that is the animus, the items of eden and the seemingly omniscient aliens that for some godly unknown reason don't save the day themselves since they know what the heck is going to happen hundreds of years before you do. Although I do love that they had humanity as their slaves, fun stuff right there.

The history student in me just can't help but find that the story in the game is a complete downgrade to what an actual game about the real hashashim could have been along with being ridiculous and silly in many respects. Plus it's completely hypocritical in so many ways. That said again, gameplay and graphics wise, it is fun.

lol, well... the Hashashim were a very strick fundamentalist Shia Islam sect and their history is so badass that it makes assassin's creed look like a joke.
I mean it took Genghis Khan to take them down completely, lol...

And that was without a magic apple that teaches the user Bunshin no Jutsu, gives them healing factor, precog or the urge to stab people aliens don't like/ talk to aliens / or build overly complex secret rooms in the Colosseum. Although I think you could poke a few more holes here then just in the first game. Ezio rand into a horde of historal figures and even owned most of Rome by the end of Brotherhood( Thats if you weren't pro like me and didn't own most of it long before the end of the game and were rich enough to mindlessly toss gold in the streets like a king, More Money More Problems) you've got to have more there. =P Hell it seems Assassin's Creed had Leonardo liking a certain fictional manly man.

The gameplay and presentation for this series has been great. I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed 2 and I'm playing through Brotherhood now. Honestly, the storyline has it's pants firmly on it's head though.
