Nice! Thanks Thank the .hack//sign opening. I'm sitting there late at night wondering, whats this?! Then people's clothes start tearing off as they fall. "Okay, NOW I'm interested." www.youtube.com/watch?v=43O7Dyd3QtUTurns out it had a strong enough plot to turn me into a fan, who would have guessed? That's kinda the exact same reason I tried getting into the show, but it didn't work. I blame my age for the most part, because everytime I watched it, I had no idea what was goin' on and what they were talking about. Maybe now that I'm older, I could give it a chance.

[Translation] Sign would leave you quite confused depending on which episode you drop in on. Unlike the games the animes thus far could leave you wondering WTF is going on? jumping in on a certain episode.

There's this popular game, called "The World", which sells millions of copies. Something goes wrong due to the number of players. A boy, named Tsukasa (main character) shows up. He's a mysterious guy who says that he isn't a person in front of a computer. Then there's this item called, The Key of the Twilight which centers around Tsukasa, and he meets different online characters and their real life selves. The problem for Tsukasa is that he can't log out of The World. Some people try to find out why he can't log out, while others try to help him understand his purpose/who he really is and how he can get back to his world.

Aha, yeah. I still need to get those games. Yeah I've been reading comments how they've essentially jumped like to like 80 bucks on some of the titles, although amazon has nice prices.

I still need to search for it sometime, lol. I could pull out a few places it's being sold from at relatively low prices if you'd like. Although I guess it depends if your looking for the original quadrility and the GU trinity together or one of the other. Or if you decide to go the cheap route and just watch the "Lets play .hack________" of all the games, hopefully finding a lets play that doesn't have someone talking throughout it.(I only enjoy those for games like Deadspace do to hilarity that insues.)

I'm good. I don't watch those videos. Okay then, just added the youtube option since you essentially have 7 games if you plan seeing how Morganna's story pans out and GU's vist to the world R2. Theres also novel /manga versions of the games.

I have a few novels and manga of .hack, but I don't know if they're the adaptations of the games. Well depends, theres quite a few versions of both the .hack games and GU games in novel / manga form. Much like theres also the canon story line with Shugo post the first four games. Off the top of my head for the first few games: .hack//xxxx (Which is fairly different in terms of plot from the gour games, Cubia has an avatar and Aura actually beats down phases. Tells the Story from Kite's perspective) .hack//another birth - (tells it from the female protagonist's perspective of Blackrose, which honestly other then the addition of characters that where simply NPC's in the game didn't deviate from the story if I remember correctly) Then the actual sequel: .hack//Legend of Twlight - (which was a million times better than the actual anime that went back into the coma theme for some godly unknown reason.) As for the GU games there was a manga version that again seperated itself from the main story and .hack//gu+ that seemingly reworked a lot of the concepts that I really liked from the games, in particular the bad!@#$ avatars. I'm sure I missed a few, theres a ton of .hack books / manga in one big stack in my room back home. I'm not counting Link do to the PSP game not likely comming to the states anytime soon.
