Well, it's an extremely well received movie and you assumed the position to take a dump on it popularity has zero to do with quality.

Or, you've had a moment of epiphany, realizing the awesomeness that is BHD and you're reflecting on it.

I can see the picture fine. Your mortal computer is obviously the weak one here As to Gladiator, I've already said what needs to be said about gladiator in the previous page, my last post there. It's hollywood melodrama that plays on grand visuals. A character with what pop culture sees as "American values". It's completely inaccurate historically speaking to the point of being laughable in this regard. The acting isn't really anything to write home about and the story is a cliche. Churn however you want. But Ridley Scott has done much better the Gladiator or Black Hawk Down.

I never said he hasn't done better than those movies, I've stated they're good movies.
You've cried into a pillow about them.

Ridley Scott does tend to stuff his latest films full of his own tract. Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Robin Hood were all in essence celebrations of democracy and rejections of any other ideology that denies liberty to all men, regardless of how well (or not) that blends with the time the story is set it.
That said, I have no problem with that because they're all still pretty good movies. And I'm pretty puzzled by the abysmal reception given to Robin Hood. It's a perfectly fine and entertaining flick. My guess us it simply wasn't the Robin Hood story people were expecting.

Aye, I enjoyed Robin Hood. The biggest complaint seemed to be "ZOMG THURR ISN'T ROBIN HOOD AS ROBIN HOOD" instead of actually discussing the movie presented.

I haven't watched Robin Hood yet. I recently considered it, as I'm interested in both Scott, and Crowe's efforts.

What would your top 3 Scott movies be? I have a feeling Blade Runner tops the list.

Blade Runner is an outstanding achievement in every respect. It's so odd that Scott seeks to make a follow-up to it. I can't see that going well in any way. Gladiator and Alien would follow in my top 3 from him.

There were rumors Scott is going to direct a Blade Runner remark. No clue how much truth is behind that or if there have been any developments. I heard it quite some time ago.
Alien/Black Hawk Down definitely make the list for me. Not 100% certain on my third.

It was confirmed some time ago.
I haven't seen BHD so I can't comment on it.

Never seen Robin Hood either, but I plan to as soon as I can. Blade Runner, I have not seen either. Kingdom of Heaven was pretty good. I should re-watch that sometime. Been a few years since I saw it.

...Why the hell would you give Blade Runner remake back to Ridley Scott? The purpose of a remake is to provide a different spin on the themes and characters of the original. Putting Ridley Scott will give you his version of Blade Runner. Except we already have his version of Blade Runner. It's called freaking Blade Runner.
Unless of course he felt dissatisfied with the original version and thinks he can do better, which is kinda hard to believe.

Peter Jackson has made many films I like to watch. I think he's passionate, but very talented. Because you can't be all passion on no talent. Just look at Liefeld.

I'm also a fan of, Guy Ritchie. I don't usually watch "gangster" films, nor like them. But he's made a few and I like them all. Especially Lock Stock. Sherlock Holmes was good also.
