I don't know if he's seen the original, but viewing it isn't really required for Weeks. I know his complaint was mainly that it's a horror, but isn't scary. I agree it's not scary at all, but that doesn't take away from the overall quality for me.Have you seen either?

I think this movie's biggest problem is the inexplicable tying to Isaac Asimov's work, when in fact it had nothing to do with him. Apart from taking his three laws of robotics. It is also based on robots. /smug |

It is a good movie for me. In all honesty, I did purchase it and I never do that with movies I am not willing to watch more than once.  It is not a great movie though. Besides, you liked Predator 2! Your movie opinions are worthless! |

This was seriously one of the worst action movies I've ever seen. I don't say that because it's dumb (I like lots and lots of dumb action movies) but because the action scenes were just, in my opinion, so incompetently shot that my eyes started glazing over because there were so many kind of interesting things happening that I couldn't flarking see!
And the whole thing just has a really strange seedy quality to it. And not the good kind of "man this is gritty", but moreso the "this movie looks uggggllly". And (yeah I know this is a dumbass complaint but sometimes I just rant) the main character was kind of a hyprocrite. And by "kind of" I mean "really", because, it's just, like, he things the killing in the Slayer game is horrific cause folks are dying and then he goes around shooting bullets into crowds of people in the social game and breaks folks backs....the same type of folks who are just like his wife.
Shit was mad crazy, yo.
....but hey that's just you know my opinion man.
