You don't even read it, so why you bothered, bro? He'll at least be alive on Earth 2. Might install his youth again.

I'm bothered because a universe with no Alan Scott and a Hal Jordan is shameful to the former awesome of the DCU

Here's a few more questions... 1. Why do so many people seem to think that Shang Chi is the best fighter in the Marvel Universe. What has he actually done to prove this. Long ago in his own comic title he displayed fighting feats that were exceptional such as defeating renowned assassins his father employed. In the original iron fist comic Shang defeated him, while still acknowledging how good iron fist was. In one sequence when he was I think fighting Shield, he showed his ability to deflect bullets from short range with his steel wrist guards. He was always portrayed as being the best and most extensively trained marvel martial artist, at least in the 1970s, having skills that seemed almost supernatural. These earlier portrayals left an indelible imprint on us old enough to have read these comics that have stuck with us ever since. So back then he was the best. Lots of characters have had upgrades since then, iron fist for example, but Shang had not (well at least up until spider island). He had remained what he always was, a supremely talented martial artist.

Why would he do that? He wrote that scene. Because he's Geoff Johns and Hal to him is the messiah of the DCU That's not the point. Not that I'm saying it's wrong or anything. Why retcon something if you could have just written it like that in the first place? I mean it is his damn comic and it's just out and he's the reigning king of DC's continuity. He could have made it whatever he damn wanted it to be. I think he's pleased with the results.

The problem with your assertion is you expect him to act like a mature adult

So how do you feel about Steve Rogers defeating him in a sparring match recently? I'm actually ok with that because to be honest, back in the 70s and 80s, Rogers was meant to be the absolute best hand to hand fighter on planet Earth. His combination of peak human abilities (which others only approached), extensive hand to hand fighting experience and training and his greatest asset, his creative and intuitive mind, put him just beyond other martial artists. In raw skill Shang was superior. In total thanks to their other abilities, Rogers came out on top. Do we have any scans of that fight ?

1) Why was Shocker in Spider-Island and not Thunderbolts? 2) Did we ever see how Crossbones went from on the run in Thunderbolts to teaming up with a mega version of Sin?

It was just a short thing in..... I am pretty sure Secret Avengers.

creator: Issue 09 of Secret Avengers. I also happened to find that John Steele page I mentioned in some other thread a few weeks or months ago stating John Steele's impressive strength with the tank. Here it is as well:

There's never been any question in my mind that Steve is superior to Shang-Chi.

@ Eric
Thanks Eric. Just my curiosity wanting to see it. Not much to show really. Both got 'falls'.
Thanks for the John Steele scan as well. Nice image.
