Mewtwo was better because of Melee's game engine, but if Lucario was in Melee along with Mewtwo, depending on Lucario's metagame, I'd say they're about even, maybe a slight edge to Mewtwo. I love both as characters.

I hate Marth in Brawl and he was awesome in Melee. The physics seemed different in the two games and it just made Marth have an entirely different play style.

Marth was still a high tier character in Brawl. His range for his Dolphin Blade got nerfed. You can't double F-air with him, most of his aerials got nerfed. His spike/meteor mash relied on the tipper. He and pretty much every other Brawl character can't pull off the consecutive combos from Melee. The tipper in Melee for his F-Smash and most of his attacks in general were way better, whether it be for long distance attacks or combos. His metagame changed and people had to enforce his Over-B more, but it was easier to use, although in Melee, it was more deadly. Only a very few amount of characters (G&W) actually got better from the transition from Melee to Brawl.

Since current Melee tourneys, he's been dropped a little from the top of the tier list due to the advancements in metagames (back with Ken maining Marth, he was the best character in the game. When M2K picked him up, he was still at that level).

As of September 14th, Marth's the 5th best character in Melee. Fox, Falco, Jiggs, and Sheik are above him. So he's a high tier.

In Brawl, he's in the high tier classified as A, alongside Snake (second best character in the game), Diddy, Wario, Falco, and ICs. The top tier, S rank is obviously Metaknight for being the best/most broken character in the game. He has his own tier...he's just too good in Brawl, which is a turn-off. Melee is much more balanced when you take into account, their higher tier characters.

Everything you said rings true. I remember when I first got Brawl and played with Marth. My timing was off on everything, my combos were gone and he just felt different. It was a little disappointing.

Mario was also different but I managed to make the adjustment with him much better. Marth has since been replaced with Ike in my list of favorites for the Brawl.

With Ike, I am just about unstoppable. I cut my way though 3 opponents at a time. His attacks seem to do the most damage, even though he is not the slowest (Damn near the closest though).

yeah,Ike's attacks are easy the strongest
altough he is slow,it is prety easy to get over this weakness with proper blocking and evade

anyone would have an easy time against Meta Knight if i was using him

it is hard (specialy against the likes of Meta) ,but all you really need to compensate for Ike's lack of speed is to know when to defend/evade and time your attacks correctly

I only play Brawl Minus (hacked version). One of my buddies, Kirk, is an awesome Ike player. This video is kind of old but still good. He got much better, though he doesn't play regular Brawl as much.

True. I do lean on that block/counter move a lot against him. He just is damn fast with his attacks and can stay up in the air forever while Ike is really heavy. He can barely jump.

Snake, Captain Falcon, and Marth are my mains in Brawl. Mostly Snake though with the Big Boss look.

Kirby has always been one of the best characters and is an effective counter to MetaKnight if you know what you're doing.

Kirby is an awesome character. He seems pretty balanced and he can come back from nearly anything that does not blow him out of the stage outright.

I personally just go by what characters feel great to play with. I have a strong character (Ike), a balanced character (Mario), and a fast character (Zero Suit Samus), the Kirby because he is fun to use.
