Xavier's history is important not for itself but for his impact on characters that are relevant. Aside from his childhood, every highlighted aspect of his bio is important to someone else. Such as Moria, Erik, Legion, etc.
I am absolutely sticking to dead = dead in my U unless a character has a power that can justify escape from death. Shadow King is an example of a character that can escape death but he is stuck in the Astral Plane.

Plus his is more detailed because I have developed my U much more by the time I did his lol.

I prefer the dead stay dead.

Should add. I agree with the "unless a character has a power that can justify escape from death"

Erik-El just checking on the dead for good thing.Your just going to have to be picky about who you bump off or make the send off so awesome that no one can fault you (Yes I'm getting way more into this than necessary deal with it). On Xavier what you said makes sense. They had the entire AoA based on him not being around so the effect he should have on the universe should still be pretty big. Do you plan on doing anything interesting with Legion?I personally don't think they did him enough justice in the books

Well I think you could spread a cause. Like initially I thought the Captain Marvel cancer death was shit. Now I know better. I believe that to be a very important death. I think if I was to kill off a major character it would be something earth related in terms of disease.

Legion is an unwritten page so far but I think I have a lot of options with him right now. Insanity is a defining trait for him so I will probably not take him away from that. But the real kicker is that I borrowed from the Ultimate U in that Proteus is Xavier's as well. He is the crazy that people need to be afraid of.
Captain Marvel was a death that I never really read. It happened before I became interested in the Avengers. But I will be giving him an interesting story because he is still going to be closely related to Ms. Marvel, a character I have a deep love for but also think has a train wreck of a continuity.
Being raped and impregnated by some cosmic entity and the Avengers don't even care, which causes her to become an alcoholic? Uh... probably not. But I might find a real world reason to make her struggle with alcoholism.

I am going to start putting my future bios in the Fan Fiction section. I have put enough development into that to justify creating a fan fic thread for it. Discuss my characters here though, because I want to keep it interactive and fac fic threads usually get none of that on this site lol.

Just realised I'd have to do character I don't care for. That's a lot. I'll just do a story arc of character. Focus on characters I like.

Think I'll incorporate Captain Britain heritage into this. I know almost nothing of it. Marvel could do with some class. Still haven't went at it properly though. Just getting random ideas.

Captain Britain is actually pretty cool but yeah, totally underdeveloped. Didn't care for the Britain Corps though.

Very much enjoyed the Steve Rodgers one.Im not overly savvy with his early history. How much did you edit Basically all of it. He is born too late for my taste. In the comic, he was 18 during the war. Steve always struck me as a more mature guy even from his early years, so I adjusted that. I also did research on what became his father's military history. I was inspired by the movie for that but when I looked it up, the 107th didn't do anything other than guard the Mexican boarder during WWI making the possibility of being killed by mustard gas (as is said in the movie) impossible. I felt Steve's father should give Steve bigger shoes to fill as a child. Bucky was completely different too. I borrowed from the Ultimate and Movieverse on that again but only loosely. Just to make them childhood friends. What I did keep was some of Bucky's recently rebooted early years, which is he was a child/young adult assassin for the military. Pretty much the only things I kept from 616 is that Steve's mother died of pneumonia when he was young, he was bullied as a child, he is a talented artist, and he got the ss formula. His actual origin is so campy, it had to be done. Even Marvel updated his origin but they are limited to keep it fairly similar because they don't do full reboots typically. I loved how the movie did the Steve and Peggy relationship so I'm integrating that. I didn't flesh it out because it is pretty much lifted right from the film.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go with 616's Bucky, in that he becomes Winter Soldier, or if I want to adopt Ultimate U's version where Bucky is an old man.
If you read the first volume of the Ultimates, their first encounter together in modern times was so powerful, I loved it. Only since I reintroduce Cap several years from now, Bucky would be approximately 102 years old, not in his 80s like the Ultimate U.
I suppose I could borrow from the film and have Steve be the leader of the Howling Commandos instead of Fury, so that he could meet with one of them and Bucky could still be Winter Soldier...
Hard decisions. I love the heavily emotional stories. That is part of the reason why all my favorite characters had to deal with some heavy stuff. Beast, Magneto, Captain A, Ms. Marvel... All are survivors of stuff that was far and away outside normal emotional trauma. I love those reboots.

I think in that case it depends on how you want to portray Bucky and more importantly what you want his relationship with Steve to be.I personally have read very little Bucky and don't care much for him at all so this is an outside source

I don't read a lot of Bucky stuff but I did like how they reintroduced him (except the cosmic cube thing. I don't like that stuff in the street level realm).

In my opinion, one of my favorite things about writing all this stuff is the research that goes into making it accurate.
I honestly don't know why this is not done with all comics, they get so many details wrong.
Trying to keep Carol's birthplace in Boston but making it a traditional upbringing (that would explain her character much better than 616) in a small town was hard. But the stuff I was able to find was awesome and such a perfect fit.
Who knows, maybe I will do the same for DC when I get all done cleaning up Marvel.
