To those who haven't read The Thanos Imperative #6 yet
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
Seems as though Rich now has the entirety of the Nova Force again. No more Nova Corps.

Nova is great. It was refreshing to see him take the front sit in so many occasions in recent years.
Still, I am unsure how different things would have been had Adam Warlock starred in Annihilation, as it was originally planned.

I agree he really showed himself to be one of the most important characters in Marvel after Annihilation (even towards the end of Annihilation Conquest), the Phalanx threat, took part in the Skrull Invasion a bit, and the Cancerverse threat. He's one of the greatest heroes in Marvel.
I wasn't aware Marvel was originally planning to have Adam Warlock star in Annihilation. But I'm extremely glad they didn't and chose to leave him for Conquest. Nova has jumped up so much in popularity and importance since then.

Marvel decided to use a fresh face as the star of Annihilation, as opposed to using Warlock for the seventh, or eighth time as an important figure in a cosmic event.
Warlock is a better leader, but Nova gave his all and came out on top. He deserves the praise he gets.

Ah that makes sense, good choice.
Yeah that's one of the things I love about Rich. He always gives every last ounce of fight he has.
What do you think is going to happen in Devastation?

Hopefully it will pave the way for something more, instead of simply serving as a proper aftermath for the Imperative.

Hmm, agreed. I hope it means to start a new series for Nova, at least a co starring series. He is too good and awesome of a character to not be appearing in any comics. As far as I know...he is not appearing in any other comics right now. I haven't heard of any plans for him from Marvel either.

He appeared with the Secret Avengers in Incredible Hulks # 614, but yeah, he is not set to star, or co-star anywhere in the immediate future, to my knowledge.
I don't see him getting a new series anytime soon, either.

Right, I know about his early Secret Avengers appearances (one of the books I read every month), but I wasn't aware about his Incred. Hulks appearance.
Personally, I loved his solo series that started after Annihilation. I'm not sure how it was received by others and what Marvel thought of it though.
It would be very disheartening to learn that Rich won't be used or getting attention in any way for a while.

The Secret Avengers fought the Hulk, and then the extended Hulk famly, before Steve called them off. Nova was too busy holding back on everyone since he'd incinerate the whole area had he let loose. Aka, PIS so that the Hulks would get away and do their own thing.
I haven't read the entire series, but what I've read, I liked a good deal. I just think this is his time to catch a break. He was the main star (or, at the very least, a participant) in pretty much every cosmic event in recent years, while far more iconic characters like Silver Surfer, or Adam Warlock got the back seat. So, I think it is possible that he may take a break for a while before returning. Since he is presumed dead in a Universe that got sealed without a prospect of reopening any time soon, anyway.

Ahh...I hate that. The whole holding back thing is so annoying for so many characters. I'll take Nova in that fight though =)
I thoroughly enjoyed that whole series, I might have to read through it again sometime soon.
Yeah, that's a good point. Thinking about everything he has done within the past 4-5 years in the MU, he is most deserving of a little break. One of the busiest guys out there. This is a good place to do it as well, and it seems like Marvel planned it this way. (Wouldn't mind seeing more of Surfer either)
I wonder if we will get another epic sending off for him in Devastation? The last page of him and Star-Lord in TTI #6 was a seriously bad ass scene. That just sums up Rich right there. I'm sure it will end as some sort of cliffhanger, but after how great their last scene was in #6, I almost don't want to see them in Devastation now.

I've read everything Nova since Annihilation and it was all great. Love his backstory and how he became a Novacorp member for being "average." He's an average Joe that turns into one of the best characters in Marvel's universe. Can't wait to see what happens with him in the future, because something's gotta happen with him.

Nova is awesome and he should come back. By the time being I'll settle with a Noh-Varr mini if Marvel feels like it .

What do you guys think Nova's role in Thanos Imperative: Devastation will be?
Also, anyone heard when it might be coming out?

To be honest, I'm hoping he doesn't play a role in Devastation. I'm hoping Rich an' Pete stay out of it completely. Devastation seems like the kinda thing that's supposed to wrap up things, and the Pete an' Rich situation already seems wrapped up, so leave it be for now. www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album.php?gid=2742That said, this is the coolest thing ever.

@caine- True, Nova is a great character, there is so much you can do with him. But, Annihilation was such a turning point in his character it would be hard to duplicate. I have read about everything he has been in since Annihilation, and I've liked it all. His solo series had some great stuff in it.
@nexus- Hahaha I know! I saw that preview...looks cool. Also looks like Blastaar gets his ass handed to him.
And I'll kind of agree with you. I would love to see Rich as much as possible, but I think I would rather have Marvel leave it as a cliffhanger as to whether or not Rich and Pete are alive/what they are doing. Bring them back in a bit. The way they both went out...you can't get any better than that.

So much bad writing... I don't think it's bad writing per se, but it is obviously set up in a way where the Hulks take central stage.
