Man, this game is so fun. I think I finally got a decent team down. Dante, Thor, and Doom. Still gotta get better at this game. My friend's already a pro at it, and dang. Still a lotta fun. Don't know if I like Super Street Fighter 4 more or not. Be at this stuff for hours.

MK9 has got my juices flowing for fighters again because it is so much fun. I've been thinking about trying other recent fighters as well. I was lookin at SSFIV and MvC3. Opinions? Is mvc3 worth it?

If you're trying to decide between the two I would say to get SSFIV.They are just as disappointing in terms of unlockables but they are great gameplay wise.I say SF before MVC though because it has all of the classic SF characters so if you used to play the game at all you will still be able to choose the same character or characters you've always liked.MVC3 just doesn't have the best roster..the gameplay is great but there is a severe shortage of characters. |

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a pretty fun game. Quite honestly, the roster's just fine. Sure you may not see every single Marvel character you like, but that shouldn't really be a crucial deciding factor in choosing. MvC 3 isn't as technical as Street Fighter, so it would be easier to pick up if you're not a fighting game veteran. Plus, it's just cool to watch. It's insane, seizure inducing, great to play with your friends, I'd definitely pick it over Street Fighter if I was goin' for somethin' friendly to pick up and fun to play.
That said, if I were looking for a more, I dunno, traditional fighting game, I'd go with Street Fighter. Yeah, it's technical, but it's clean, an' cut to the point. If you don't want to lose track of your character on the screen, and like for things to be straight forward, this is the game. It's definitely balanced out too. Almost to the point that you may or may not get bored with trying out different characters for you to be, and there's a lot of characters, but it works.
They're both great games. It all boils down to what you're looking for, and what you're willing to work with.

Yeah, it did. Personally I like 3 better than the other MVC games, so for me, the changes were for the better.

I've really never played SF. I'm not looking for a difficult fighting game to pick up either. But Street Fighter has always kind of appealed to me. If it's only $20something that's appealing as well.
MvC3 looks like a lot of fun, and if it is easy to play, that's a plus. Another thing is that it has Marvel characters, which is great. I think it is still like $50 or something.
Hmm, I may have to get both.
