Issues #16-19 of Secret Avengers are pretty damn good.

I've been reading since #1 already, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Remender brings to the book. For the most part is has been a very solid series since #1. Ellis has been doing a good job as well. I am also looking forward to what Rick R brings, but I'm not ecstatic about the new lineup he announced.

jake- Yeah Secret Avengers #19 was really, really damn good. This is why I am going to miss Ellis. #19 was perfect for what I think a Secret Avengers book should be. This 4 person line up is great too.

I really like the smaller line ups too. I haven't been reading any of the Avengers books lately but this series has been top notch under Mr. Ellis.

This 4 person line up is great too. What's annoying about Ellis being replaced is that when it comes to Avengers, they refuse to replace the one guy they need to replace. (Bendis). Dan Slott's Mighty Avengers was better than his by miles.

Bendis is a Marvel "Architect." It's sad because the only way he will probably leave is if Bendis himself decides to leave. I don't think Marvel will push him out. Maybe on a different title like New Avengers, but unfortunately I don't see them removing Bendis from his Avengers duties anytime soon.

I don't really get the whole architect thing.

They are I believe 4 writers who are supposed to have the most importance on shaping the Marvel U. I think they are Bendis, Fraction, Aaron, and Hickman.
Aside from Fraction, nobody else has had much importance from what I have seen.

Avengers Academy continues to shine as my favorite Avengers book.

The Avengers sure are getting a lot of hate these days:
-Wonderman's Revengers -Norman Osborne's Dark Avengers -Cable's X-Sanction -Soon to be the X-Men in this year's big event
Probably another I'm missing too.

Thankfully there's a lot of promise with Remender's new run for Secret Avengers.

katz- I'm not a fan of the line up for Remender's SA, but I'm sure it will be top quality stuff.
jake- Yeah I think it is definitely about time. I am excited to see which creative teams they put on Avengers and New Avengers. They better be top quality.

I must say I have been missing out by not following Secret Avengers. I grabbed the #21.1 issue and didn't continue. Judging from isue #29, Remender has been crafting a good product with a pretty awesome lineup.

I definitely think Remender has kept it going in a good direction since he took over. Everything has been AvX lately though so I'm ready for that to end and to see some more covert type operations from the SA.

Definitely. How was the Descendants arc? I saw the trade was out but it's HC. Booo! I may just buy the back issues to catch up on Venom & especially Valkyrie. (va-va-voomm)

Remender changed up the line-up somewhat and the art wasn't my favorite, but it was still solid IMO. Definitely worth picking-up as a TPB.

May wait for the trade then.

I'm not big on hardcover editions (as you know) so I'll be picking it up in TPB as well. I have the first two volumes of SA in TPB and I plan to keep it going. Still one of my favorite titles.
