The lineup for the new Secret Avengers looks pretty boss. It should be good.

No problem. Yeah, I'll definitely pick up the series once that new creative team jumps on-board.

Have you been reading the Avengers Origins One-shots? Janet is stealing the show.

Anyone read Avengers #19?
I'm happy that Wolverine and Spider-Man are no longer on the team. It just makes sense, and I was sick of them tbh. The New Avengers is a good place for them.
Storm and Vision are certainly interesting picks, and I think it is a good move to get some more power and versatile power sets on the team. I was worried they were going to go more street level, but I am very glad that is not the case.
Bendis is keeping Noh-Varr The Protector on the team, and I really have no idea why. He is sparsely used at the most. It almost seems like he is keeping him there because he wants to do something with him, but never gets around to it. The closest time was during Fear Itself.
And Quake the SHIELD agent? Ok......

I've been wanting him to do something with Noh-Varr for a while, now too. I hope he somethin' comes of him bein' on the team eventually. If not, I would love for another writer or team to pick him up. That Dark Avengers annual with him and that girl was what really got me interested in the character, and there hasn't been anything else since.

......And Quake the SHIELD agent? Ok...... Yeah that seemed incredibly random to me. Cannon fodder maybe? ......Noh-Varr........ That Dark Avengers annual with him and that girl was what really got me interested in the character, and there hasn't been anything else since. Me too! I really enjoyed that annual and it piqued my interest in the character. Would love to see some more stories involving him.

I think are views on what Bendis is doing with the team is pretty similar but there are just too many great Avengers who have already been on some of their teams who they refuse put back on the team. Red Hulk is a ridiculous move. They wouldn't let Parker on the team years ago because he was immature and untrained but somehow Red Hulk is qualified? Doesn't make sense to me.

Well I'm guessing they think (or Bendis thinks) that on top of Ross' military background, and loss of his Loeb-Factor, Rulk has proven himself to be a decent hero over the past 8 months or so, or at least the effort is there.

And that's something I pretty much agree with.
Anyway, Avengers Academy is still my favorite Avengers book, and more people need to read it. So much drama, so much fervor. I love it. That last issue had some pretty interesting character development for Finesse, which is cool.
