Let us discuss the evil Brainiac is all his glory here. I saw that he recently got pwnt by Lex in a scan on the interwebs. Anyone care to elaborate?

He got punked by Lex sounds more like it. Despite the fact that an enraged Superman couldn't do it, at least not with the amount of ease Lex did. I'll kick it off with a cool pic from the first meeting between Superman and Brainiac (retcons be praised).

For all the hype of that arc, Bedard writes a much better Brainiac than Johns. Bedard's Brainiac is, y'know, smart.

lol
I like the fact he outsmarted him, and Brainy is meant to be 12th level intellect, right? When Lex, used a clone/robot of himself to team with Brainy and then Brainy killed him, well he thought he did then it was revealed that it was the clone/robot.

I like him with a collared shirt and sweater more. Seems very terrestrial. Attachments:

Posting your earlier theory about Brainiac's fight with Superman here:Do you mean direct connection (via the various cables in his head) or simply being on-board? Because during the fight there are several instances where he is dosconnected to them cables and he seems still as potent as earlier.
The microbes theory fits pretty well, though. Do you think Brainiac underestimated Supes, Supes was holding back, maybe both?

Brainiac Prime (I kinda like the sound of that) is 15th level intelligence, and possibly even higher due to various enhancements he has undergone through the years. It was mentioned in REBELS.Yeah, that was a total jobber moment.

For all the hype Brainiac gets for being so smart,he sure as hell does'nt do much to prove it. Step aside for the real mean machine old timer(Cyborg Superman ofcourse).Btw did anyone of you guys read the Superman/Batman annual featuring Henshaw and Doomsday?

He did make Vril Dox and Lyrl Dox look like chumps in Sons of Brainiac, and while they did escape with their lives, Brainiac got all that he wanted, so that's a feat of intellect right there.
I forgot to read the Annual, but I'll get to it. Possibly today.

Vril is Brainiac 2, Lyrl is Brainiac 3. Vril has 10th level intelligence, Lyrl 12th. They teamed up because Brainiac I was single-handedly trashing an entire planet.
I really haven't seen much of Metron aside from hovering in his chair and looking cool, so no comment on that.
Considering Brainiac was retconned into not having met Superman until recently, he only has 3 stories to his name (one of which I haven't read yet), so obviously Darkseid has a plethora of feats that he lacks.

Brainiac's ship has cool shield features (tanking supernovas for kicks) but other than that it wasn't anything particularly impressive.

Oh, and apparently the ship can beat up Kryptonians with ease. But that's about it in terms of showings.

I agree random Kryptonians are fodder, the Superman Revenge Squad was absolutely wrecking them during Last Son. Made me wonder how Superman is still alive if they can beat up multiple Kryptonians with such ease.
Well, the thing is this: every single version of Brainiac that we ever saw before is a drone, avatar, or something of that kind, and massively inferior to the real one, according to Johns. Retcons galore, but it is how it is, despite the feats not matching the hype just yet. So anything OWAW Brainiac did, should be replicable by the real deal.

But just because someone goes by the name Brainiac, it doesn't mean he's Brainiac I. So, was this guy a future version of Brainiac Prime (as I call him) or a successor?
