I will look into these. Thanks for the recommendation. "Brainiac" was the revamp story for him, I gather it is chronologically followed by his appearances in the New Krypton storyline (which I am about to start as part of my Superman quest), then Adventure Comics, then Sons of Brainiac, and AC # 899 is his most recent appearance. If you are interested in Luthor, I'd surely recommend his entire run on Action Comics, too.Sounds good. To be honest, I like Luthor more than I do Superman (Supes is alright, but come on, this is Lex flippin Luthor ). So I am intrigued by that. From what I surmise based on comments here, I assume Lex is having fun being a bad@$$ prep master (?).

It was almost like an art form.

I like Supes more than I do Lex, but I admire both to a great degree and I can see how someone would find Lex more interesting than Superman. When they are written well, it's a blast to read either way.
It shows Lex as a bada$$ in general, not only with prep. Except for his fight with Deathstroke, in which Slade nearly cleaned his clock.

Cool. Why does Luthor receive no respect for his intellect? The guy is DC's Doctor Doom. Sounds good. The problem with characters like him, or Superman, is that they have been around for so long and have appeared in so many different series' that a respect thread to properly appreciate them is pretty difficult to pull off.

You should read the Up,up and Away arc where Lex takes control of the Kryptonian battleship,he also turned the sun red with a missle and destroyed New krypton. But Batman does'nt have half as big an ego as Lex. And Morph what's Batman touching in your sig ,Orion will not be pleased

And Morph's avatar is from a Superman/Batman arc (I forget the exact issues) involving Darkseid and Bekka. Bekka's attribute to create overwhelming desire between herself and emotionally repressed men resulted in her and Bats sleeping together before ending the crisis at hand. Orion returned at the end and just took Bekka back. It was a silly arc, overall.

I know Bruce and Bekka almost slept ,and for the record the New Kryton/Red sun stuff was part of the New kryton,World of New Krypton,Last stand of New Krypton and War of the Supermen arcs which followed each other in quick succession and were part of the same storyline which ran for almost 3 years. But if you wanna simply read it for Lex then stick to Last stand of New Krypton and War of the Supermen. Up,up and away was Superman returns done right, the Kryptonian battleship was the same as those ever growing crystals but was pure Badass.

Poor, poor Bekka. Forgotten for 20 years and brought back only to be killed off.

And Morph what's Batman touching in your sig ,Orion will not be pleased There was a theory that current Bruce is Orion reincarnated, so he'd be glad, I guess? ;D Damn shame that didn't work out, though. The clues were there.

OK, so while reading the second part of the New Krypton crossover (Codename: Patriot), I came across the Superman Secret Files, which verify Brainiac's physical abilities diminish proportionately to his absence from his ship.
Phantom wins the internet. But, he's still bald, and that is his cross to bear.

Heh, I actually have that issue and have read it, but I swear didn't remember a thing about that actually being written there. Go me.

@ Phantom - A subconscious notion in your brain, perhaps?
Brainiac's physique was a subject of conversation between him and Luthor earlier on, when General Lane first employs Luthor to study him, but I thought I'd rather post the "handbook" page, instead.
