I wasn't talking about the GT version. That's why I posted an image of her from Dragonball.
Pan did beat Goten. And that sort goes into MY theory, because Gohan is stronger than a Super Saiyan because of his "Mystic" form. Goten gained a lot of power because Goku was a Super Saiyan. But because Gohan had more power, that passes on to Pan. I'm not saying all but more of a portion than what Goten got from Goku.
Mystice Gohan > Ssj3 Goku
Pan normal form > Goten Normal form
Goten ssj mode > Pan normal mode
DAMN! Now am thinking maybe Gohan's mystic form could have contributed to her not going ssj.
I should explain that I could settle for Toriyama couldn't draw a female Super Saiyan reason, but I've never settled for easy. So I try to make a more scientific reason if it's possible and this, is the one I liked.

Colour blindness is passes on through the Y Chromosome. Colour blindness doesn't affect woman. Genetics can work like that. Think of it as the power is there and the only way to get that power is if someone gets it, once he or she has got it, it can be passed down through his or her genetic system. And if both of them obtain the power then the power can be passed down through both genetics of male and female. For example: Neo was the one from birth but couldn't obtain his power until Trinity told him of her love for him. The capacity for color vision is actually located on the X chromosome. Women are able to be color blind, it is just more rare because women have 2 X chromosomes while men only have 1. So you are saying Goku had some outside factor mutate his genes and then he passed those genes onto his spawn? Because that would not be correct either. Gohan was born long before Goku acquired Super Saiyan power. Also Neo already had the power and was using it. He ONLY needed to believe he had it to use it. He was starting to believe before he was killed by Smith. |

There was just no need to use it as his new form of powering up was superior to what he could get as a super saiyan. I am sorry but nothing you have said makes much sense from a scientific point of view. I certainly do not want to come off as rude but it is true. If super saiyan was genetic, Bardock and King Vegeta should have had the power. Goku and Vegeta should have been related and those descendants at the end of GT should not have been able to access the power of the super saiyan if your theory that Pan could not access it was due to Gohan's mystic power up holds any weight. |

The power to be a Super Saiyan is dormant in every Saiyan. Once unlocked by someone, then they can pass that on. I just think that is specific to gender, it ties in somehow, I may not know how, but that's just my theory. For instance if Pan unlocked the Super Saiyan, and she had a daughter, she could also go Super Saiyan.
Gohan tried going Super Saiyan after Elder Kai unlocked his potential and nothing happened. He was just the same. As the Elder Kai said "Just do that Super Saiyan thing you do." "All I have to do is go Super Saiyan." The became as we know "Mystic Gohan."
The Oracle told Neo has was waiting for something. Waiting for Trinity. But that's going off topic.

I do not recall Gohan trying to go super saiyan after the mystic power up. But my memory of that is from the manga. Do you have a clip that I could watch? But Neo was performing feats that only The One could perform before Trinity admitted her love. In fact, he still needed an entire clip in the heart to even be put down. One round would have dropped anyone else. Morpheus even said that Neo was starting to believe, which is why he could even fight Smith. |

Trying to get my brain to get what I want out into a few sentences. It's like when Gohan gets angry enough, the power within comes forth and his power increase. Dormant like that. Every Saiyan has the ability, they just have to find some way of unlocking it. Most Saiyans believed it to be a myth any way, a Super Saiyan that is. Goku unlocked the dormant gene to turn Super Saiyan power against Freiza. Vegeta unlocked the Super Saiyan gene in space and you know the rest. I'm just saying that when one of the gender unlocks it then they can pass it down to their male children. Pan has the gene that transfers to males but doesn't work with her because she is female ( obviously) but once she unlocks this dormant gene herself then she passes on the female gene to turn Super Saiyan. And in doing that everyone because the cycle is complete can go Super Saiyan. Does this make my theory any clearer? |

Dragonball was one of the first anime series I ever saw. Dragonball was the best in terms of story while DBZ was better in action. GT wasn't that good though.
