Lmao. I wish I had snuffed that guy out.
I don't know how far I am from the end (I'm in Montreal) but I'm thinking I need a shotgun for some occasions. Are there multiple types of shotguns, or just the widowmaker? I'd like to upgrade the hell out of one.

New fans of the series probably hear whistling every now and then in alleyways and such.
Well, it's a nod to the first. They're whistling the theme song.

Without giving spoilers, which ending did you opt for? You can just say the name of the individual.
Seeing as it fit my playstyle/attitude, I picked Sarif. I'm so happy there's 4 endings and then possibly something if you pick all of them.

Man, if you haven't played the first you won't get the post credits part.
So, google once you're done, lol.

I opted for the 4th option. Because I'm hardcore Captain America irl.

I'm almost done with the game, I've just had Darrow give me the passwords at Panchea, so I know I'm close from what I hear.
I'm actually going to sell this game back to gamestop towards Gears of War 3. DEHR was a good game, but it's the type of one that I don't see myself playing again.

OK I beat the game. I chose Sarif's ending. I saved it right before you get to choose so I'll probably go through and try them all.
I watched the post-credits scene, and like you said, I don't understand it since I haven't played the previous Deus Ex games. I'm assuming it is setting up for a sequel, though.

Lol and what's up with the music after you go through the end credits? Is it the music from Deus Ex 1?

Well I finally folded to the pressure and bought this last Friday. So far, I am pretty satisfied so far (I've only played about 20hrs or so. Just found that weapons stash in drb territory...without being detected...Yesss! Lol).
I'm debating though how fast/much should I upgrade the hacking tree...lots of rooms in that nearby downtown apartment complex that I cant get into...and I'm a curious player to a fault, lol.

Lol. I ended up just killing everyone everywhere, which made it really easy if I ever wanted to go back through a place.
Hacking could be useful, especially when you get a little farther into the game and there are higher security levels. I only upgraded hacking to level 3 capture and mostly relied on finding access codes.
An important thing to know and remember, is that most locked doors can be broken by guns and explosives. Except for the ones that say "Indestructible."

Nice! Thank you. I'd feel even more awesome just blasting through doors instead of my current routine of attempting to hack, messing up, flailing my arms and throwing a fit until it resets, then repeating a few times... Any nearby thugs must get a chuckle out of that, lol.

Looks like Deus Ex: HR will have some DLC coming in October. Titled "The Missing Link" it seems to center on a rescue mission gone bad for Mr. Jensen. Full Story.

No problem. Failed hack attempts also alert guards to the location where you failed the hack.

Yeah, try to hack a computer in fron of people and they attack. Otherwise, you're fine. But people won't talk with you if you have a gun equipped. They'll say something like "not with that thing in my face" or whatever.
I love how a game that strives to do more gets shit on for having average AI, yet that's never even remarked on when games like CoD/AC/GoW have similiar gameplay AI issues.

Lmao. That's exactly what it's like. Honestly, before the game came out I watched some of the developer walk through videos, and saw that the game was striving to be realistic and stealthy. But I knew it was going to have certain logical pitfalls such as the ones your image so eloquently brings up, and that since the developers could only make it partially to their goal, it would be a problem for me. And that is what happened. These are all easy fixes too.
I actually made this comment before the game came out somewhere in this thread. The example I think I used was if you were just standing there staring at someone in plain sight and trying to listen to their conversation, it is just not normal. It should have some sort of effect on the game, but it doesn't.
