He's likely going to use the Oc arms as an excuse for that, lol.

Then he can't use the Ock arms in battle because they'll be too busy carrying his kitchen sink around.
Ka-ching!

That is a more traditional design for a riot shield but there are some rounded ones. I was actually thinking something more like this. Also, why would I want to throw it? I have the ability to throw exploding discs or to accelerate discs to bullet level speeds. The shield is for distracting enemies and protecting myself with maybe a good accelerated shield bash here and there. Do you, by chance, have any scans of Exiles Gambit? His powers interest me.

I won't using them at the same time because that would be ridiculously unwieldy. However, carrying them from place to place should be no issue. A standard carry case for a sniper rifle is about 6 inches deep which is about the distance between the two sets of tentacles on Doc Ock's back. I'll just secure the case to the back of the harness in between the two sets of tentacles. I won't be doing any lifting or walking while I am out and about much like Doc Ock does. I had to use movie Doc Ock because I couldn't find a good scan of Doc Ock from the back. I am sorry I don't have any scans for you, NeXus. For an idea of what his acceleration power does, take a look at X-Men Origins Wolverine. In his initial confrontation, he slams his staff into the ground and it hits like if someone with super strength just hit the ground. He later digs his staff into bricks like it was nothing. Most of his Card Tricks in the movie also make use of kinetic acceleration. If you check the Alternate Versions of Gambit page on wikipedia it has a picture of him with his staff charged.

@dedman Human carrying limitations will apply regardless. People down at the local gun store probably aren't likely to sell to a man with tentacle arms.

A soft carrying case like this one only weighs 2 kgs which when combined with the PSG-1's 7.2 kgs brings it to only 9.2 kgs or about 20 lbs. A riot shield only weighs about 15 pounds which when combined with the rifle is only 35 lbs. US Military usually carries between 50 and 60 lbs which leaves me somewhere between 15-25 lbs of other stuff. SWAT teams carry between 25 and 45 lbs of stuff. Even if we subtract the weight lifting benefits of Doc Ock's tentacles and Gambit's physicals, I am still only about at what a standard soldier carries and slightly over what SWAT teams carry. If you are talking about size or cumbersomeness, both the shield and gun and can be carried on straps with little difficulty. As I said, I am not going to be using them in tandem as that is just ridiculous but carrying them from place to place should be no real issue.

I look forward to seeing what kind of strategy you have for these battles, Dedman. Your mixture of metal tentacles and kinetic energy enhancement is, to say the least, original.

@dedman that's fine but as I said, you can't use powers/abilities/items that circumvent other rules. So you can't use your tentacles to carry things to override the human limitation rule.

Okay, I see your issue now, Dane. I wasn't understanding the human limitation rule with regard to enhancements from powers, skills, and special items. I apologize for the confusion. I will start my plan tomorrow for day one.

Captain Remy Octavius (Finalized Version)
Powers: Exiles Gambit Skills: Captain America Special Item: Doc Ock's Titanium Tentacles x 4 Additional Gear: PSG-1 w/ IR Scope and Carrying Case, 1 Silenced M-92 Berreta, Nightvision Goggles, Long Range Microphone, Lighted Riot Shield, 3 Inch Throwing Discs, Kevlar Vest Trainer: Bullseye-To make sure Cap's skills are up to throwing smaller objects than shields and to increase accuracy.
Let's Rock!
In my month of training, I will assume the Uberman Sleep Schedule which allows me to sleep for 20 minutes every 4 hours and still get enough sleep to stay active. As I said, my training with Bullseye will primarily be to increase my accuracy to perfect or near perfect with the throwing discs, the sniper rifle, and the pistol.
First 4 Hours of Day 1
I awaken from my 20 minute nap and take some time to eat and stretch and ready myself for the the days task. As the tentacles provide me with transportation at near Spider-man levels, I should be able to move at something like 60-80 mph with no real physical exertion. I have Steve Roger's accuracy with a Bullseye boost and a semi automatic pistol so any random thugs I run into shouldn't be any real problem. Though at 1 in the morning, I shouldn't run into any thugs anyways. I begin by going to the docks to kill some Hydra guys to get them on alert. I then pull out my sniper rifle and target every window on the level that the Kingpin is on to get them all up. I stop by Sabretooth's to wake them up too for the hell of it. I then go for Killer Croc at the mall.
Since it is probably around 2 in the morning, it is still dark. I turn on the strobe effect on my shield distract them. I then pull out some discs, charge them, and then let them fly. There are only 10 of them so it should be reasonably easy to take them all down in a couple barrages. Since Killer Croc will likely rush me at this point, my Tentacles will just grab him and slam him into the ground. He is a poor man's poor man's Lizard so bringing him down should be no real issue. I let the people take what they want from the mall as I have no need for explosives. I then head for Scarecrow, it is early and I want to make sure no one dies. I make use of my ace in the hole to take him out quickly. I walk into the building and tell everyone to get down as I grasp my upper tentacles and command them to come together as fast as possible. As I am accelerating their kinetic energy, they come together and create a thunderclap. Scarecrow is dazed long enough for me to hit him with an accelerated throwing disc. Some of the people will have slight hearing issues for awhile but no more than close contact with a flash bang. I have no need of the guns or grenades so I'll let the GCPD have them when I finish clearing a path. I then take my first nap.

That sleep schedule is a myth. It would take you a month just to adapt to it and even then you'd be entirely worthless for that whole month. Trust me, it doesn't work.
Try again.

In my month of training, I will assume the Uberman Sleep Schedule which allows me to sleep for 20 minutes every 4 hours Tsk Tsk, you and I discussed this on CV some time ago. The human body requires 4 hours of sleep a day (that's sleep in or just out of REM sleep). It takes the average human about 2 hours to get into a deep sleep and two hours to come out of it (hence the requirement by most for 8 hrs - some need more some less). Some accomplished at meditation techniques can achieve such a deep sleep faster (and of course you can always come out of one quickly- why there are some like myself who for ever a decade/almost 2 get/got by on 5 to 6 hours. Simple use of such mediation would give you close enough to what your after with 4 hours per night (and a lot better retention of what your trying to learn). Though honestly which one of your characters has that skill ??

I think a skill set like Mantis or Puck would have been better suited to that strategy, Dedman. If you want that kind of sleep schedule, it would be good to have the skills of someone who is in complete control of their body.
