Don't let Spiedy15 see that Darkness :-( You misinterpreted the meaning of my phrase.
Most of the great heroes in each company have gone on a hiatus after dying (or being presumed dead) over the course of the past 20 years.
- Superman - Batman - Captain America - Thor
Spider-Man has died before (during the Other), but, he was revived at the end of that storyarc, so it seems like his time to take a break.

The real question is if it will only be temporary (temporary, as in, he'll return in a couple of issues), or permanent (as permanent as something like that could be), and who would replace him as the star of ASM? The title is very unlikely to go on hiatus.
Maybe it is Ben's time, after all?

That's Marvel's big guy. There is no way they would do that without somehow being able to make money from it in the long run.

The other was the last good spiderman arc in my opinion...
as to spider-man dying. Death is worthless in Marvel, so this will just be just another contrived arc in my opinion...

Best part of The Other was the end. "Are you the man who dreamt of being a spider, or the spider who dreamt of being a man?".

I'm not sure how to feel about this...it's definitely not what they should be doing with the launch of Point One.

Any death of Spider-Man will be great. I would love to read it. And then post it to all the Superman haters, they're usually the ones that hate Superman.

The Other isn't a favourite of mine, but it's a good story.

The Other isn't a favourite of mine, but it's a good story. neither is it mine, but it was still the last good arc in my opinion. Other more recent arcs, like American Son, or the Grim Hunt have surpassed it, IMO.
