Full costume pics day, today. Good going, ckal.
It's alright but I don't really see the need to change the regular design.

It's alright but I don't really see the need to change the regular design. Thanks. Yeah, I was surprised myself. We don't often get days like this. I feel the same way. The suit in Raimi's Spider-Man looked really good. I wouldn't mind at all if they took away the raised webbing on the costume, but this design doesn't do it for me. I think they are trying to separate this reboot from Raimi's movies as much as possible though, and this is a good example of that.

@ ckal - Agreed. They seem to have unnecessarily tried to deviate from the design in Raimi's films, purely for the sake of it, and to severe any connection in people's minds. It's not a poor result, but it just feels odd.

Then I completely agree that it's different just for the sake of being different. Odd, since even Ultimate Spider-Man has a virtually identical costume to 616.

True. I think Garfield looks good at Peter Parker, though.

Looks good, sure. I guess we'll just have to see if he can ACT like Parker. I didn't like Tobey as Parker, TBH. It also upset me they gave him organic webbing just to avoid having him "smart enough" to make his own webbing. They claim that move made him more 'relatable.'

When the Spider-Man movies came out, I really had not read comics at all. I didn't know Spider-Man in the comics had actual web shooters until much later. Honestly, I kind of like the organic shooters, they seem more realistic and sort of completes his transformation into an 'Spider'-man. Idk how his mechanical ones work, but they don't seem very, believable I guess.

Oh, and k4tz, you may be excited about this...take a close look at Spidey's wrists in the picture. There is some kind of metallic objects on the underside of his wrists that may be....WEB SHOOTERS.

I think it's fair to assume the mask will have a slight modification, thus increasing your hate.

I think it's fair to assume the mask will have a slight modification, thus increasing your hate. The small modifications aren't why I hate it. I just hate it because....I hate it. This is my second most irrational hatred, the first being my hatred of France.

I understand not being happy of the changes for the sake of being different, but to HATE it? Reeeeeeaaaaally? When I look at it, I just don't really think, "Yeah. That looks like Spider-Man." Maybe it's just because it looks so grimy and dirty. I might like it more if I see the colors in a bolder light.
