I hate MMORPGs. I like multiplayer only games (like MAG or Warhawk), but for some reason, I dislike MMORPGs. That or my exposure wasn't the best. I liked Star Wars Galaxies for a time, but the developers couldn't decide what the game was supposed to be like so they changed the gameplay every six months. I'll get this game, though. I just don't care for the novels or comics based on it (aside from the Revan novel, which I'm looking forward to) |

People who have played MMOs will understand what I'm saying here, usually in MMOs the good faction attracts mostly the less seasoned players on launch, maybe less mature players, younger players etc. I think in SWTOR it may be the sith empire that attracts those players, I wonder if anyone else has the same feeling? I just don't care for the novels or comics based on it (aside from the Revan novel, which I'm looking forward to) I can totally understand why you have those opinions about MMORPGs, SWG was very interesting on launch, it was like being thrown into the Star Wars universe. They really did mess up with that game. MMOs are hard to get right, I've been disappointed by more than I've been impressed by. Like I played WoW since launch, not the whole time, I play for a few months, quit for a few months and repeat. But that game has so many flaws, and yet it is debate-ably the best MMO out there right now. I think SWTOR will address a lot of the issues I have with WoW and other MMOs, maybe all of the issues after some time. I'm hopeful, is what I'm trying to say. I think it may actually be worth a shot for you. |
